They do make them all look like they're out of their minds.  I'm sure there are plenty of normal families that have stocked up and Natgeo isn't interested in showing.

I think it was a recent episode of house where some guy built a secret room in his house to store shit in case it all ends and his wife was going to leave him because she thought it was nuts.  Then they had one family on wife swap who absolutely believed Dec 21 2012 was the end and their whole family did nothing but prep for that day.  That is nuts, but again, they pick these families and not just a normal family that stocks up just in case whatever happens.

That is their game - pick the most extreme examples and make that the "norm" in order to demonize the entire movement.

watched a few episodes of this today.  they do show some nutcases but they also show some pretty normal families that prepare for the worst without going overboard on a retard level.  But some of the people they've shown are fucking totally nuts lol.. The new episode tonight shows a guy that has lost his fucking mind.
