Americans seem too laugh at the stupidest loudest jokes. The only American comedian i think i liked was Richard Pryor, and maybe some other ones but can't remember.

This coming from a guy with a kid going up stairs in the avatar...

Need I remind you of Benny Hill before generalizing American humor?

Just awful...Loud and shouty. No wit, no intelligence

American shows are great... Curb your enthusiasm, the Office, modern family etc

I don't get why their stand up sucks.

I dunno, i like most British type dry/dark humor. But i don't laugh at this shit what seems to pass itself off as humor. Like this dane cooke or whatever, everything he says isn't even remotely funny, and the audience seems to be going wild..., wtf.

I can't put my humor into words correctly, but for instance, i despise every sitcom/series with a laugh track. (except seinfield dunno why.) I love series like it's always sunny in Philadelphia, and arrested development, when we don't have a stupid laugh track telling us when to laugh.

Also seeing people get hurt makes me laugh.   :D

Some good shows you mentioned. And I agree, Dane Cook is not funny but you gotta remember everyone has different tastes and for every person that likes his humor theres another one that hates him. My friend was gonna go see him live and I was shocked...I thought, could I be friends with someone that likes Dane Cook??

So, I think theres something for everyone out there so to say that americans laugh at the dumbest shit is exaggerating a bit. With over 300 million people at least a few funny fuckers will come out of there...and some hacks which some people will adore.

PEEP SHOW btw love that show. Funny is funny no matter where it comes from.

I may have generalised too much indeed, haha. But common like chris rock for instance it's just not funny, just a lot of yelling and curse words what must seem funny to some, but i dunno.

Yes peep show is funny, David mitchell is funny, also snuffbox with matt berry:

I love most British series and stuff.

So badly edited it's good. haha.

I am myself not British, but i love the humor.
