At what stage along this cycle of collapse are we?
« on: January 31, 2012, 08:00:18 AM »
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.

Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.

We are right here -
Quote
From complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence
We still have a chance to fix it, but we wont, because like all others, our own greed and inability to learn from others mistakes throughout history will be our undoing, as so many others have before us, and so many others will after us.

Actually were probably right about here -
Quote

We may have passed abundance, seems like everyone now days is worried about themselves and is happy to just sit back and let the goverment make all our decisions and decide whats best for us, people are starting to get apathetic though (government passing NDAA, FEMA camps, fraud, corruption in the government, etc).

We need to be at this stage:
