what's the difference between Beats for 179.99 and my sandisk 28.99 and target earphones for 2.99?  are Beats like having a touch on your ears?  i'm not getting it.

Beats are top of the line, but I don't find the cost really worth it.

As a matter of fact, I've seen some fantastic headphones from companies like Klipsch and skull candy that are not outrageous, but sound very very good.

Best thing I ever bought. Dre Beats are super brittle. People breaking them after a week. Just stick with regular cheap earphones unless you're an audio buff

If you have bluetooth, I recommend the Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset  and if you are a runner, get the Jaybird SB2MB Sportsband.

I love the Motorola S305 set... bought them a few weeks back and wouldn't trade them for anything.

I got the Dr. Dre Beats Earbuds as a gift and they are better than any other earbuds that I know of. The quality sound you get from it is amazing as long as the mp3 file you are listening to is good quality.

$300 for ear phones that are no better than Skull Candy ones for $50.

That's too expensive.  What ever happened to the days when guys used to walk around with a boombox?  I bet that would sound way louder than those cheesy Dre beats..

Best pair of headphones I've ever owned. You look like a complete retard with them but the sound is amazing and they fade out outside noise. If you're gonna go for a wanna be dj/thug kind of headphones spend the 3 bills and go for these.

This was discussed before, I found some philips-oneills for $45 (reg 75) at Bestbuys that sound better than Beats w/o the distortion and have a nice deep rich-even bass.
Skull Candy's are fragile---break easily, and don't sound as well

I use $9.99 headphones from sony that i replace after several months due to foam starting to smell of sweat sauna, and the jack plug starts to also get static if moved from the banging up against it from lifting and cardio machine (also use my old iphone just for the gym so that my new iphone doesnt get damaged)

Yeah, plus that way you develop a decent set of arms from carrying that big sum'bitch around and alternating every it 15 minutes or so.

for the price, beats are a pathetic selection, and cheaply made.  anything from audio technica, sennheiser, AKG, etc. for half the price (models geared towards bass) will blow them out of the fucking water.  If you spend the same amount as the beats on one of these brands, prepare to have your world rocked.

I do not care for the beats ear buds but the over the ear headphones sound unbelievable. I was on a plane from Seattle to Chicago and some guy across the isle had the pro model. I asked him about them and he said I could use them for the whole flight. I really have not heard anything better than the pro's.

There is no way in hell I could train with them on. But I sure would like to have them for all the plane flights where I have either a screaming baby or an obnoxious speed talking bitch sitting right behind me.

you cant go wrong with Sennheiser if youre serious about MP3 players (Im not knocking Sandisk I own a Sansa Clip) consider purchasing one of the these, the best sound on the market even beats Apple
