But what about maintaining a certain shape?
even with sacrificing some size
yeah, you won't have that look of someone who is on a ton of gear, like the vascularity, the fullness in the muscles and the hardness, that stuff all goes away as quickly as it came once you stop using but once you build new muscle fiber and you hold it for awhile, your body makes that your new homeostasis for size and it's much easier to hold the "mature muscle" and even if you lose some of it, like levrone would when he came off for half a year, you can still get it back very quickly with muscle memory + steroids.
if someone went off completely and stopped training and lost a decent amount of their size, they could probably get all of it back (minus the last gains the person experienced) within a month or less depending on how much they lost. gylocogen stores start coming back the minute you lift + juice again, takes about a week to get them back fully and the muscle it self takes longer 3 weeks to a month depending how much was lost.
