I think they're only mistakes if you make them just because you think you are supposed to, like many of the sheep do.
I never wanted to get married, and never wanted to have kids.
I met a girl 7 years ago that I just liked being around more often than not, so I married her. I don't see myself
not wanting to be with her. Of course everyone always wants to fuck other chicks, that never changes, but
I got sick of wasting time trying to fuck everyone and I got really sick of worrying about STD's or knocking up some
slutbag that I barely knew. It's a compromise, some just don't want to make it.
I don't think being single forever is wrong either, I just decided it wasn't for me anymore.

I still don't want kids, and I made sure my wife didn't either before committing to her. That is one of the biggest mistakes
anyone can make. I always ask people why they want kids, and no one can give me a straight answer.
Men that really want kids have always seemed really strange to me. I laugh inside every time people ask me if I am having
kids or suggest that I have kids, and tell me all the bullshit 'joys' that children bring them. I can see right through it,
as if they want other people to share in the misery of raising children.

I am especially bothered by people that need to have children in order to grow up and become responsible. I know plenty
of assholes that used to kick doors in and beat people up, deal drugs, and all kinds of other shit, but stopped now that
they have 'something to live for'. Fucking lame.

God's gift are children. But like you said, you make things the way you think it's supposed to be. To each their own. I love children, planning on having 4-5 kids. But marriage isn't for me.
