Condit v. Diaz II - Los Angeles - August 4
« on: February 08, 2012, 07:54:11 AM »
All set for Los Angeles, August 4.

Short retirement for Diaz.  I wish I could retire for 3 days.

"...Condit instead has agreed to an immediate rematch with Nick Diaz, according to tweets by UFC president Dana White on Tuesday evening..."

I like the Diaz brothers because even as children they looked pissed - hilarious.
Seem to be ok overall.

Diaz brothers make me laugh.  They have to get all angry and disrespectful in order to fight.  The sport has progressed beyond that.  There is big $ involved, they are no longer fighting on the playground.  I laughed at Diaz's retirement comments after the fight.  I wish he would go box.  He would see the Condit gameplan every time he fought lol.

Bottom line is Condit executed his gameplan and Diaz could not, simple as that.  It will be interesting to see if Diaz is able to adjust and grow as a fighter or just comes to the ring with the same tactics he had before.

I always had respect for Diaz, goes out there to die..leaves it all in the cage. And not just that hes a skilled fighter. Traits not too common these days. He just gets hate from the tennis type mma fans.

He needs to come up with a new game plan.. maybe lay and pray this time, or condit will strike and hike to get the W once again. Carlos has no other way of winning the rematch.

they dont get angry and disrespectful, they consider themselves kings of mma because they devote so much more to the sport thant these guys who just want attention and just want to be fighters

notice how nick always wants peopel to back down, bell rings and he gets in their faces, he will never ever hit after the end of the round, but he wants the other guy to back down to him as a gesture, same as gh15 who does what it takes to be god of hormones, he wants u to call him god as a gesture

Some people like to fight pissed off and some don't. It's as simple as that. Never disrespectful After the fight. A fight is a mindgame also. Nick is a master at getting into peoples head during the fight making them panic and forgetting whatever "gameplan" they had combine that with Constant pressure and being able to take All of your best shots and keep on coming forward and people tend to start doubt themself and mentally give up. Condit did a good job of not letting it get to him although it looked like a he panicked a little first round but then stayed calm.

I had Diaz winning first second and last round. Condit winning the fight ruined my 3 way bet also.

A re-match doesn't excite me at all.

I hope this time round Diaz remembers to actually fight otherwise he'll lose again just like he did first time round.

He should learn to run faster than Condit?

I'm not sure why they can't fight in May/June. August is 6+ months away. This fight should and most likely will get moved forward.

Condit is a bitch. He technically won under the shitty scoring system but he knows that he lost that FIGHT. He ran and tagged an angry Diaz who only wanted nothing more than to brawl.

If Condit engages more he'll submit to the brutal retard skills of Diaz. Diaz is a genius idiot savant and I think he's got all the skills to fuck Condit in the ass. Didn't used to like the guy off and on but now he's probably my favorite fighter out there. Can't hate on anyone who's 110% FIGHT.

Diaz Tests Positive For Weed...again!

http://www.addictedmma.com/story-News_6422_Reports-Have-Nick-Diaz-Failing-Post-143-Drug-Test.php

The on again, off again saga following the expected UFC 143 rematch between Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz appears to have hit a major snag this evening. Reports are coming in that the Nevada State Athletic Commission have advised both the Caeser Gracie camp and the UFC of a failed drug test by Diaz, presumably for marijuana.

If these reports hold true, this would be the second marijuana related suspension for Diaz, his first coming back in 2007 at Pride 33 against Takanori Gomi. Diaz won this match via gogoplata, but the result was changed to a no-contest following Diaz's failed drug test. Despite strong reports on this failed test, nothing has been officially confirmed by anyone close to the situation, but the UFC is expected to make some sort of announcement Friday regarding the issue.

The athletics commissions testing is so bogus. Let athletes use PEDs and recreational drugs the way they want and let's see what happens with sports. Let athletes regulate their bodies FFS.

Weed stays in your system forever so who the fuck cares? I sweat THC and cannabinoids.

I see no reason to suspend a fighter for smoking marijuana.

What benefit would the fighter acquire from using THC?
