Generation Nothingness
« on: February 10, 2012, 12:05:54 PM »
Back in the days we had family orientated, drama, comedy, action type of TV shows such as Family Ties, Dinosaurs, Family Matters, Full House, Jem, Boy Meets World, Miami Vice, Holograms, A-Team, Knight Rider, Alf, Melrose Place, Punky Brewster, Blossom, Remington Steele, Gimme a Break, Baywatch, Saved by the Bell, Beverly 90210, Perfect Strangers, Cheers, MacGyver, etc. You had theme songs back then that were all about accomplishing things together and being the best we can be. In today's "Generation Nothingness", it's all about being better than anyone else, TV shows seems like everything is about vampires, wizards, or secret popstars, become famous with a sex tape, who's addicted to drugs, who's in rehab, crappy reality TV shows, getting 15 min's of fame, nothing relatable anymore. Enough with the reality, stupid, mindless TV shit already. It's time for a change.

Ya I watched a movie with the gf the other night. 'friends with benefits'. I stopped watching half way through. Why does every movie have to have fags? I mean what purpose does it serve? everyone's gay, if your gay fine, but why do they need to push this agenda?

Why isnt any of this in old movies? how come theres no gay cowboys prancing around in a Clint Eastwood movie? because thats when men were still men. I dont even have cable because its all shit. Every movie every tv show is to beak down the family unit.

What happened to the shows were you had a mom and a dad raising kids? thats how every show used to be. Is there still a show that has this? The last show I can think of is everybody loves raymond.

every generation, when it ages, feels like the new generation is severely lacking in the virtues of the past.

Back then, Hollywood was relatively in the closet on screen...Now the Hierarchy's agenda is to push the filth to the world and corrupt the mindset of the people.

This.

I find books and the internet roughly hundred times more interesting and productive than any television.

Any show I want to see is on netflix. Any game I want see I can stream off my computer. Why bother paying 120$ for some shit tv?

yea of course there are a lot of bad shows that cater to female audiences (dancing with the stars, american idol, and all those other "talent shows), but there are usually at least 2 shows I try watching when the new season of shows begins. I've been watching this show Revenge that I like a lot. Also this new show the Firm is solid. It's not like there aren't any good shows at all. It's the just the more popular ones are horrible so we hear more about them (jersey shore, bachelor, etc)
