i'm french and i think usa are not bad, it's just place like nothing else on earth.
it's the place for extreme, in every sens of the term.

I would like to say that I served with French soldiers in Afghanistan and they risked their lives every day, just like the rest of us.

So, a big thank you and I hope  you don't take too seriously what some stupid Americans say.

Funny how people always criticize the U.S for whatever reason they can but still enjoy their movies, music, culture, etc. It's not perfect but what in this world truly ever is?

That's because the US is the entertainment capital of the World...we could go downhill, but damn nearly everybody likes our movies, particularly porn...we can make things go "boom!" better than anybody else...and even our enemies and the ones we criticize know it...
Also, we are not above criticism, and we welcome it, Americans are about the frankest people you'll talk to.

  Well, between broken families, abortion rates, high incarceration rates, segregated neighborhoods, black on black violence, etc........seems the Democrats are doing a great job on doing it.

Yes it is a small percentage but it doesn't break down the population of major cities vs. rural areas because as a whole rural areas do not sustain the prison population.  Take them out of the equation and that percentage goes way up  My thing is that only violent people should be in prison or jail and I believe that there would be less than 1 million in institutions if that was the case.  US is not that dangerous so I was shocked these numbers...and this is from 2009.
