I really, really loved Whitney's voice. And irregardless of her personal issues and demons, I still find myself sad over her passing.

The issues started when she met Bobby.  Was all downhill after that.

I'm indifferent to whitneys death but you can hardly blame any one for her choice to abuse drugs. It is no more bobby browns fault then it is the guy at the liquor store when I get drunk. We are all accountable for ourselves. Maybe she enjoyed drugging and the life surrounding it lets not kid our selves many do drugs don't only have negatives like you see in rehab shows. Many have a very good time on drugs much of the time. I dont know her case but i do know drug abuse real well. One of the reasons people fail to get help is they lie to themselves about how horrible the drugs are when the infact they enjoy them. Honesty is very important that being said she wasnt the best drug addict it took her 48yrs to kill her self :)

Forget about Whitney, Marvin's version can not be beat (and he performed live):

The absolute best national anthem presentation that will ever be. However; she lived her life contrary to what the flag is about. She really turned into ghetto trash after Bobby Brown and continued in a downward spiral. So sad. Such a beauty and an even more beautiful voice. Demons are a bitch.

whitney had the stronger persona, was most likely already a weed head when she met bobby, just upgraded once she hooked up with him, but he didnt turn her into anything that wasn't there already.

LOL...

Please....one of the WORST renditions of all time.  the only thing memorable about it was the factvt took 3x as long to finish it.    The tempo is so slow, I sounds like Austin Powers when he asks Mr. Roboto about his "fathers where.....about....s..."

Calm down Gloria. It's a bit like fashion sense. Some would argue yours is awful, others wouldn't mind.
