Strong squats. They were powerlifting legal even back in the day. They weren't olympic squats but pretty impressive.

Impressive lift, I'm sort of baffled how his legs are only that size moving that much weight though (unless he always uses that form).

I always thought the secret was beating off 3-4 times a day or doing bicep curls in the squat rack.

You don`t have to be big to be strong.

all hip flexors, glutes and tendons, terrible squat for growth.
bodybuild = being in the muscle, not moving weight

Man those squats suck...he does´nt go deep at all and bends his back way to much forward...But I tend to bend my back forward because i´m to tall to build huge legs from squats...legpresses and hacksquats makes me feel it in my quads much more...but when I squat I go ass to the floor like Platz does and keep the bar higher up in my back...I get better results from doing them in a smith machine though...then I can keep my back straight

Yup,but everybody here calls them shit.

Wes, you have been in gyms long enough to see the delusion of most young guys doing squats. It seems to me every puts 405 plus on the bar and do little shallow knee bends telling everyone how strong they are in squats.

Every one here is built better than Frank Zane. They have their pick of perfect tens and could turn down any pretty girl because they have a pointy elbow. They are all incredibly smart living in the perect crib. The truth is that most live in a room in their mommy's house.  They would look like crap without drugs because they have no work ethic in the gym.

Power lifting type squats in my opinion have never been a good leg exercise.  It's more of a hip and lower back lift.  Squat like Tom Platz and do Olympic type squats will hit the thighs hard. Medium stance and a fairly high bar placement. Power squats are super wide stance and as low as you can put the bar on the back to cut down leverage. Olympic squats are really deep. Power squats should be a little lower than a half squat. Now in powerlifting contests today the squat with the squat suit is even less than a half squat.

Not to mention they all have private jets and live on privately owned islands!  ;D

It's from an old film(posted on the first page, but missing this part) called Tom Magee, Man of Iron. Tom Magee was a famous Canadian Powerlifter & Strongman in the 80's He also wrestled, acted, and was a popular trainer at Gold's years ago.

The guy Kazmaier is yelling at is a self proclaimed strongman from England, who's name escapes me, but he called out Kazmaier, and Kazmaier confronted him. Kazmaier is legit, in that he will get in your face and go back and forth.
