Russia has been down many times in history.
Every time they have come back bigger and stronger. History will most likely repeat itself on this.

Many seem to lack any understanding on what term "Superpower" stands for.

It's basically a Cold war era term.
Behind the whole Superpower term was that there were two powers on earth that confronted each other on every aspect of life; in culture, in military, in sports, in technology... basically there were two totally different ideologies.

Ideology was what drove the epic battle.
Both sides pursued global dominance on every field.

whole Cold war itself was an extremely interesting and unique era in history of mankind.
It's bottomless sea of stories, fascinating achievements, happenings that changed the history.


world today lacks this ideological confrontation. It's very unlikely  something like that brakes out anytime soon again.
