Oil goes way back and is 'old money', they would never allow a new entrant in... even if that wern't the case you would still need a shit load  of money to start up

Lol only a baffoon would think this makes a lick of sense, sure if you got a load of money to waste on a home refinery it can be done, but you'd pay 200 dollars a gallon if so.

What next wanna make a microprocessor in your back yard.

Wow the ignorance here is rampant.

First of all E-85 is not biodiesel, it's a mixture of gasoline and ethanol. Ethanol is corn alcohol, and since years back the US government subsidized corn farming, people were figuring out shit they  can make out of it since the US can produce so much of it.

And you can't put diesel in a gas car just like you can't put gas in a diesel car. Do you guys have even a remote clue on how an internal combustion engine works and the difference between a gas and a diesel engine? You have any clue the diffrence between diesel and gasoline? Any of you ever seen and touch diesel fuel?

Now if you had a shot at refining your own crude oil, you would be more likely to do it with diesel . Gasoline requires a much greater refining process than diesel fuel.

seriously though, this sounds like a house fire waiting to happen. And you would probably be recipient of many municipal fines for environmental damage, pollution and what not. Not worth the time/money spent to even try.

here's my wild guess:  there are some people with land, because you don't want to do this in a neighborhood.  they have storage capabilities and know Bill or Bob who has a transport/tanker company.  maybe a tanker stops by once a month or so on their land, and a driver unloads 400-500 gallons on their property for reduced cost and a nice under the table fee.  with millions of gallons being transported, i'm sure these type of under-the-table deals occur, especially in the deep south.  i guess the first thing is to get some land, and buddy up with a corrupt exec who's company transports for shell and chevron.  they do this in 3rd world countries, and first world countries are just as down low once they take their makeup off.

Its easier to make diesel fuel than to make gasoline.  That's why I'm buying a truck with a diesel engine for.  I can easily make it from used vegetable oil or used motor oil.
