southern brasil was mostly populated by european immigrants, mostly german and italian, but lots of other nationalities, spanish, polish, portuguese obviously, etc. Southern brasil is where you will find the best quality of life here. I would not live in cities like São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. EVER.

this is the city where I grew up, Blumenau, founded by german people. Brasil is a huge country with HUGE discrepancies between poor and rich people, we are not only made of favelas like movies want you to believe, you would be very surprised to see a few locations in Brasil, you would almost think you are at beverly hills, lol.

If you are rich, Brasil is probably one of the best countries in the world to live. Believe me.

ofcourse there are people from spanish descent, as well as polish, german, etc etc....
does not mean the brazilian culture is influenced by it.....

and yes in the south there are some colonies... polish/german.... etc...in the north east Recife was a dutch colonie.... but this is only locally...
