The sound engineering part of the software is complex...It is for more advanced producers, but it was free and gave it a shot...I am hoping FL Studio does not have as much of a learning curve.

If you're just gonna spin records than I think you can become good with practice. But producing your own music is on a whole different level.....either you got it or you don't.

Hate to disagree with you, but that is terrible logic...That is like saying if you do not know how to play a guitar the first try, you have no chance at being any good at it...That was my first go at it....

What i do agree with is that i will never make a living at this...It is a fun hobby though...Thousands upon thousands of people create this type of music, and not only will they never make a dime off of it, they will be lucky if even a good number of people are exposed to it.

I know a lot of guys that play guitar (myself included) but most can only learn and care to play songs made by other people. Even though people think electronic music is all about pushing buttons someone making it will need to be musically talented. You can always improve your skills at anything in life like sports, painting, music, etc. but either you are born with a certain talent or you're not. Otherwise we'd all be professional athletes/actors/musicians...

You're taking another step and going the creative route and it's not easy but if you enjoy doing it that's all that matters. Just don't let it interfere negatively with your life if you know your chances of making a living out of it are slim....kinda like bodybuilding for most of us.

Alright, thanks for honest opinions...I have shared it with family and friends, and they all say positive things...One guy said i could get a recording contract lol. If he only knew how many thousands of people are into this stuff. So it is good to hear some opinions from everyone that is not afraid to say it sucks...

I've kind of gotten more into tech house myself but I'll listen to whatever sounds good when in comes to edm; prog,trib, min, deep house....whatever.

I am into psychedelic trance, detroit techno, hardstyle, trance, DnB, and industrial...I still run into subgenres i have never heard of before that sound interesting...
