dude, what do you know of argentina?

i am thinking of going there for 2-3 weeks this summer/fall. any places i should see, things i should do? i'm backpacking so im very flexible. the more random and off the beaten track the better.

What do you want to know stud ?  I've lived there for  14 months.

i want to go there this year. only have 2-3 weeks so important i dont waste time, and see the 'best of' argentina. there are boards like lonelyplanet.com that are great resources, but locals have the best knowledge of off the beaten track cool shit you need to see that most dont when they just pass thru for 2-3 weeks.

places to see that most wouldnt go to or wouldnt think to go to.

areas to stay away from, or that are overrated.

best places i need to eat.

im not a tourist. im more of an adventure traveller. im into trekking. this year taking a mountaineering course as well. the more adventuresome and less apt people are to do it the more im apt to try it. anything you can think of along those lines im down for. even some down time if there are good beaches around. im not going to spend time in the city, or go clubbing. not my deal. i like being outside. any kind of stuff like that you can think of.

optimus thanks for the reply. brasil is on my SA hit list too, when im ready to do the jungle/beaches. i'll prolly hit equador first (a trek called apolobomba) then brasil for down time.

there is a wine region u can bike through, go on a bicycle and go from winery to winery

there is a place where u go paragliding with a partner, he taks u off a mount thats 1000 feet high and u go up to 3000 feet because of wind

a lot of touristy things in ba, i would do something like couch surfing, i would go to a hostel and hang out with other like minded people, u may be too old and buff for that lol, dont know if they have bunk beds that would fit u

some of the coolest places i've stayed at were hostels. im not a 'hotel' by any means.
