Monkees star Davy Jones dies at age 66



No doubt you're humming Daydream Believer or Last Train to Clarksville as you read this.

The lead singer of The Monkees, Davy Jones, has died.

His rep tells TMZ that he died after suffering a heart attack this morning in Florida. Jones was 66.

TMZ confirmed Jones' death with an official from the medical examiner's office for Martin County, Fla.

Jones is survived by his wife Jessica and four daughters from previous marriages.

Jones joined The Monkees in 1965, with Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork.

used to love watching the monkees when i was a kid. i know they were fake but they still had some great tunes

Davy Jones was also a Vegetarian and was in great cardio shape as he ran a few miles a day.  Just thought I`d add that in there.

A Heart attack can mean many things.
Most think blocked arteries.
He may have gotten dehydrated and the
the heart goes into arrhythmia or irregular
heartbeat and then just stops. This would
most likely be called a heart attack.
Not an actual heart attack but your heart
just stopping would be a pretty good way to go.
You get dizzy for a few seconds and then pass
out. An actual heart attack would be horrible though.
