Seriously, I was gonna leave this as a reply in the Romney wealth gaff thread, but decided to pose the question to a broader audience as I knew it would get lost in the shuffle.  But, seriously, you talk about Romney's ability to "connect" with the public, and because he can't, he shouldn't be president?  Really?  I don't want the average guy running the country, because to tell you the truth, the average guy is a fucking moron.  Have a debate, or ask a guy off the street a few basic questions, they don't have to be political, just basic questions.  Within minutes, I would say at least a third of the people you talked to, you would find out they're stupid, and Im not even talking black/white/hispanic etc. Im talking people in general are dumb.  Yo know what I see when I see Romney? A guy who put it all together and because of hard work, and being smart, became a wealthy man.  And that, is what we need running the country, a person to look up to.  You are who you associate with, and become who you admire, so why not someone who has their shit together.  Most Americans could give a fuck anyway, as long as they have tv, food and a cell phone they are okay.  Im telling you, this country is ripe for a revolution, or to be taken down by an enemy.  People are so apathetic
now days, and care nothing of what people before them worked so hard to achieve.  And if you say, "what about the poor, what do we do with them?"  Well, to tell you the truth, most poor are there because they made bad life decisions that lead them down that path(i.e. early pregnancy, drop out of school, etc.) and the ones that aren't, sorry.  Its called collateral damage.  Its the same if I start my car, go to work, and die in a car wreck, sometimes shit happens. Sometimes people just get the shit end of the stick, but I would say 9999 out of 10,000, its their own fault.  I have plenty of employees who work for me, and they are all in shit situations because they put themselves there.  Bad credit, DUI, pregnant girlfriend, etc.  I really try and help them though, give them incentive to do good.  Some take it, some don't.

So anyway, end of rant, just wanted to share my opinion on the subject of Romney getting shit on for being rich, and not "connecting" with the people.  So fucking what...

Nobody said he shouldn't be president because of the wealth gaffe.  3333 has a long ass list of reasons he shouldn't be president.  If we can't have Paul on the republican side, I think Romney is the next best choice for the nomination.  Santorum scares the fucking hell out of me.  That guy is clueless and dangerous.

Romney was successful using the very same tactics & techniques that got the world economy in the mess to begin with. He has  no integrity or credibility, he will say whatever he has to, promise what ever he has to, even if it means contradicting himself. He's as big a  whore as the rest of them imo.

The only candidate that has any integrity at all in Ron Paul. He knows what's going on, as well as how to put a stop to it. I can't even believe you guys are talking like Ron Paul isn't even a factor. Don't let the media dictate your talking points to you.
