Just so you all know a bit of history, when I met mike 21 years ago,he said it was a dream to play at the Mr.O,he was only training then about 2 years. So we are happy his dream came true not once but twice,he's not out to get top 6,we are being realistic,he'd be happy placing top 10. We know what goes on "behind the scenes" he's going to keep playing as long as he can, improve in his placings because he loves it!

From the back he pretty much wins the show. Even his arms look great in this shot and his calves are very good. I guess hie's just short and weird looking. A proper bodybuilder though.

That's your typical getbigger: "I don't like pro BB..."  "I'm not a fan of pro BB..." "I'm grossed out by pro BB..."  "But I go to competitions & expos, spend my money collecting BB magazines & videos, spend my free time on bodybuilding forums... and I can name the top 50 body builders for the past thirty years!

Like I said, typical schmoe. ::)

you got a yes, yes, yes but a big NO in the end

i spent a lot of money on bodybuilding- yes
i really like/love the idea of bodybuilding
i consider myself as a bodybuilder and like to be around other bodybuilders male and female rather than among those average people giving a shit about their body/look and never get control over their bodies

i also spent a lot of money for the things you mentioned (dvd s magazines....)
i think it s nothing bad about watching other athletes to motivate yourself for own performance no matter if you are a bodybuilder or a basketballplayer

BUT BUT maybe you get my point this way

today i rather buy a copy of the 1988 Mr O video than receiving a copy of the 2011 Mr O video, because i feel that the look of todays pros is disgusting while the look of the pros until mid 90s was very inspiring and motivating

i think the original idea of sculpting the body to the best possible and presenting it in a artistic way got totally lost in todays cult/freakshow

today it s like the best chef is no longer the one wo creates the food in the best of taste but rather in the food in the biggest amount

and this is a cultural thing happening in every aspect of life

i agree 100% with you bro....
but donīt you agree that if they let a guy like branch win.... it then does not make sense to have a dude like mike 9th!
mike has structural problems , yes.... but not as bad as branch...
the AC showed us that the judging is nothing more then a political game of interest.......
and yes i agree with you that bodybuilding today is DEAD, and why people have the need to compete is beyond me....
back in the day is was cool..... now itīs just dead.....
i mean you can have the best structure in the world , and conditioning as well..... wide as a house, tightest smallest waist on stage.... and then lose to a roided up hobbit.....
stupid... "sport"
btw i love bodybuilding..... to me it just died somewhere late 80's early 90's...... and i like to remember it for what is was....COOL....

i think you have exactly the same thoughts and feelings about bodybuilding like me  ;)

i started when it was cool to be a bodybuilder , it was the time when arnold as conan was more mainstream and anybody wanted to be big and strong and masculine, the typical superhero
now i really suffer because bodybuilders are no longer considered superheros regarding their looks and looking "cool" like it was in the times of Arnold to Berry de Mey . But i can t quit after all those years of dreaming about the perfect body just because the cult is a mess and like you call it drugged up hobbits win
even the idea of living healthy train hard and looking good is perverted into a "balonie" - buisness for example by the supplement industrie or something like " men s health" magazin with "naturals" on covers and promoting the troja version of pretty boy bratt pit as the stereotype of new age hero

fuck- it s frustrating me

i dont want to give up bodybuilding after decades just because the enviroment is so dark and no light at the end of the tunnel insight!

yes bro we do.....
when i was younger and started to compete.... i got to know some top guys.....
that kinda ruined it for me..... they were great guys, and very helpfull.... but i got to see the truth behind the cult....very early in my life....saw a lot of things... dark and sick things!
i have no problem with steroids and hgh..... but man there is stuff going on.... SICK!
so i just kept training for myself.... i really love bodybuilding and the science behind it , the PED's ....
i learned a LOT!
but the physiques just do not appeal to me anymore.... i like the 80's physiques....
you mentioned berry de mey... he is my all time favorite.... that is a perfect physique...
no need to het any bigger then that...
also me being tall, and the fact the goblin look is rewarded these days, competing makes no sense....
and what do you win with it anyway?????? nothing.. lol....
and after the recent AC... i have seriously lost ALL interest in PRO-bodybuilding.... it's dead...
amateur shows are way more fun.... and have better physiques also....

We know what goes on "behind the scenes"

i know you talked about "freedom of speech" but there is a line to be drawn here if you dont want to kill your husbands dreams forever and it starts with not talking about "behind the scenes" and especially not bringing Mike into this by typing "we".

these forums are read by people that have control of your husbands placings.

lee priests wife, the south african, single handedly killed what was left of lee on the MD forums by ALWAYS...ALWAYS!! making sure she was there to reply to every single person on the internet on every single forum, saying anything negative about lee. where she had moderator powers, she would delete posts. she would also slip in her "behind the scenes" remarks like you have done, against the ifbb.

his wife ran the lee priest name into the ground and lee didnt do himself any favors either whenever he posted.

you will for the most part, want to stay out of the spot light making politic comments like these if you dont want Mike in the "bad books."

by now, your posts have already been read, and can assure you, are already starting conversation.

play the game and play it right. you are becoming the new lee priests wife lately after all his shows!

I saw this fella on stage, seemed respectful among other bodybuilders. I think he deserved a better placing than 9th place.

i hear a MD contract is the way to a pro show win. i also hear he must first do a lot of free work on their forum and prove to be "loyal" by only posting their exclusively, aka Antoine Vaillant style  ;)

after about a year or 2 of proving he has a fan base, with multiple threads on the MD forums and ONLY the MD forums all reaching past 10 pages in length AS WELL AS doing a few free clips for MD on some training, only then will he be placed on contract and then see better placings.

ask roelly and grandma how much free work and time they had to provide before finally getting a contract.  ;)

1. post exclusively and daily on the MD forums and no where else
2. provide picture updates and free videos
3. points 1 and 2 for a consecutive 2-3 years straight

= contract and better placings.

the end.

Apparently you don't know what you're talking about. When did, if ever, a pro try to get get a contract by posting on a forum? What you wrote is laughable and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You mean to tell us that guys like Feroce, Burneika, Beyeke, Abiad, Pakulski, Alvisi, McMillan, White, J.Jackson, Nunn, Alves, Curry, Haley and many others who get good placings (and wins) have been pouring countless daily posts on forums??

Somehow I don't think so. The best way to get on a magazine or website for that matter is to be consistent with good placings and look great on stage. Plain and simple. I am sure that Kefalianos will get his chance to appear in one of the top magazines sooner or later.

bullshit....
it is all about ASSKISSING....
and just like you need connections to drugs, you need connections to place good...
look at the AC for gods sake.... tell me that isn't proof the ifbb is all politics!
same goes for the magazines....
and why in the hell would you want to appear in one of these dumbass magazines??
i never read one anymore..... today with internet you do not need magazines!
if i were a pro , who looked decent ... i would go and talk shit... have a big mouth... be brave and speak my mind... like Kamali.... he did quite well doing that... people talked about him! good or bad, but any attention is a way to make money....
those battles with him and titus..... GOLD! you do not see that anymore....
i remember seeing these two in flex all the time... not because they placed so well...

competing does not earn money, does not earn prestige because everybody knows it's all politics, does not earn respect from fellow competitors for the same reason, politics.... so wtf compete...?????
for yourself???? so one can say hey, i am mr. so and so....
really i don't get it anymore...
i just watched the old mr.O '88 tape..... i cried man.... those were times...

i am actually sick of PRO bodybuilding....
the AC i watched the pics from the CLASSIC bodybuilding class.... THAT are physiques!!
also the amateurs.... some great physiques...
i think more and more athletes will jump to classes like that... CLASSIC/PHYSIQUE.....
and the PRO division will be the class for the gay musclemen worshippers.....
i mean how else can the hobgoblin on roids win the AC.....? bald, goatee, the rough oilworkers look.... the gay mans fantasy....

88 was a great 'O, with balanced & conditioned physiques, like De Mey, Paris, Strydom, Labrada and even Gaspari. Great posing as well!
