Myth of eating 6 Meals a day....

when being fed every 2-3 hours the body will not be encouraged to burn any of its stored fat for energy, either. Why should it bother digging out the fat stores for energy when it is being spoon-fed all day long?

When you eat three meals a day and have ample time between meals, the body is forced to burn that stored fat. Once the fat is restored as an active fuel supply you will see better energy, more stable moods, greater mental clarity, better sleep, less cravings and of course, natural and permanent weight management.


This tit must of not heard of the Mr. Olympia ...hahhaha oh brother, maybe for whiney ass house wives I would see his advice would work ...

I probably eat on average 2-3 meals as oppose to the multiple meal nonsense I did years ago.

I eat the 3 normal meals plus a post-workout shake when I train in the evening. Any more is BS...

I eat small meals whenever I'm hungry. Probably 4 - 5 a day.

You guys know how lean I am and my diet is twice as sloppy as when I ate perfectly according to the magazines.

My "metabolic furnace"might not be stoked but I've got virtually no fat on my body. Because I'm leaner I need less hormonas to look the way I like as well. No more shitting or eating around the clock for me unless I have brutal munchies.

2 meals per day here, sitting at 250lbs ~15% bodyfat and no hormones in my system for weeks.

It does not make much of a different but it isn't exactly a myth, here is why, during contest prep I used ketones sticks, I tried 5 days eating 3 times a day and sense I was already in the state of ketosis and have not eaten many carbs I stayed in ketosis until I eat, but when I eat 3 meals a day, my meals where big so I checked what state I was in after my meals and for nearly 3 hours after I eat I would not be in full ketosis and when I jumped to 6 meals even immediately after my meal I would still be in full ketosis, so I was burning more fat on 6 meals then on 3 cause I was always in the state of burning fat, doesn't matter what anyone says I know for a fact  you're in the state of burning fat longer on 6 meals, I tested this myself and challange anyone to try what I tried, end of debate, but of cours this is only true if your meals are no or low carbs if you are eating 200 g of carbs times six meals you will never be in the state of burning fat no matter what

ketones dont mean your losing fat, it just means your burning fat in general. doesnt have to be body fat, can be excessive amounts of dietary fat as well.  you can be gaining fat and be in ketosis. 

larger meals cause a bigger increase in insulin, which will decrease the amount of ketones in your blood.

Your not going to see too many fat people in ketosis. If your only eating from 2 energy sources ( pro/fat ) and your not grossly overeating your going to be losing fat.

Pretty much. If you're a regular enough person who's in shape that's pretty reliable. But if you're a fatass with a pancreas that's dying from being drowned in chocolate milk and Skittles then that's another story.

There are many ways to Rome. You cant just deny eating six meals over 3 meals and vica verca. What it comes down to is cals in and out anyway regardless on how many meals you eat during the day. This is common knowledge.

I eat about 5 small meals because it keeps me from getting hungry and over eating.  I also feel like my mood is better throughout the day, and that I am more productive that way as opposed to 3 large meals.  Breakfast is my biggest meal by far.

3 meals here. If my day is long or im hungry i snack on something.
6 meals is just retarded.

what i did today

2 toast+1banana

rice+chicken

turkey

5 cookies

that you go 3 meals and 1 snack.

I eat 6 small meals a day, have been for years. I only do it because I get hungry and if I dont stay structured I will eat far too many carbs. Plus I'm el natural!

I dont see how anyone with a job, a life, and a family can find time eating 6 meals a day without it totally taking control of your life.

I just went out and ran some errands right now. I was gone for four hours. I ate about an hour before I left and I'll probably make some dinner in an hour or so. So that'll be a good 6 hours between meals. Im not hungry at all.

Ill have 4 meals today. Which I usually end up having. I usually have 2 in the earlier part of the day and 2 later in the day with one being a before bed snack more so then a meal.

6 meals........I just dont see how u guys do it.
