he probably has some kind of nerve damage from jabbing them too much
No doubt and really bad in  his left calf. I quess he was trying to bring them up the gh15 way instead of Arnold's way.

Arnold was unique re his calves. In 1968 in Golds Gym I measured his arms at 21 1/2 inches. He was 62 inches around the shoulders. He wouldn't let me measure his calves and told me to come back in a couple of weeks. I went back to Canada, instead.

Well, Arnold looks huge when he poses his calves from the side. No one else has that bulge. From the back they look a bit weird....unlike Platz and Dorian who have huge calves. So the question is open about how Arnold got huge calves in record time.

I've heard the Arnold had implants from Mexico. Who knows.

Medical calve implants were started in the 80's in Mexico. Romano took a female bodybuilder down there and she lost both legs from the knees down due to circulation problems. In the 80's it was still experimental. Arnold had BIG calves in the late 60's. Nobody was doing calve implants in the 60's.

i saw wolf up close in april 2011 and his calves looked pretty big but his leg was too long for the calf to fill it up

but then at the olympia it was like he lost his left calf somehow

Definitely looks suspect.  Was Lou doing heavy doses of HGH then too?  Looks like he has borderline Palumboism.  His belly looks horrible.

I think short calves tend to resist one's gym efforts. If he had longer calves like Mattarazzo or Yates or Dillett; Wolf would be a 2-time arnold classic winner; and possibly wouldve won the 2007 Mr olympia
This is actually quite plausible. In one of the books I have "Strenght Training and Anatomy" it actually states that longer calves respond better to training and grow easier then shorter calves.

I believe itīs nerve damage as someone already stated. His right lat have also gotten smaller in the last 2 years. I donīt know why he have the lat problem. Itīs possible he injected this site too since alot of people calls him out on having a weak back... If you try injecting calves yourself you will notice how much damn nerves this site really got. I tried to bring mine up with some SEO like 10 years ago and sometimes I would hit a nerve so bad that the whole damn thing contracted so hard the the syringe landed 2 feet away. That and running the risk of injecting into the bloodstream made me give up ever injecting them again... Itīs just a pain in the ass and they still ended up only about 1 " bigger with much less detail... You might be able to enhance a muscle with SEO but you canīt create something that is not there.

awesome routine!!!  his calfs are fine there. what you have to think about is that his thighs grew but not his calfs, they rather shrunk, be it from tear or pounding them too hard for too long. too big quads looks shit

i really dont think he's "given up" or stopped training them. that would be pretty stupid
