Oh well.  He made a mistake, but at least the Niners tried. 

Peter King said he turned down SF because of the Super Bowl or bust pressure.   ::)  He could have done some damage with Moss (if he chose to play), Crabtree, Manningham, Davis, Gore, and even Ginn.  He won't have anything close to that in Denver.

That's not what King said and if at some point he did say it, he didn't get it from Manning.
