Its the angle, its like looking at a wasington monument from the top view, obviously it is gonna look much smaller if you cant see depth. Also the shadow makes it appear narrow as the widest part of his nose blends with the cheeks.

I had stopped doing shrugs and deadlifts for no reason other than pure laziness, its been sometime now and that's the result, back on it again though so hopefully it will get better!
