i agree but you also should look at today's pros when they were a lot younger and had just won their pro card.
ronnie coleman, jonnie jackson, branch warren, guys who today are shitted on because of their grotesque muscularity, had very aesthetic physiques when coming into fruition and beginning to come into their stride as a bodybuilder and earning a pro card
centopani for example looked amazing when he just won the nationals, same with a whole bunch of others
the appeal with zane is that in his day and age his shape and lack of grotesque size is what won the competition
nowadays you would be able to find plenty of juiced up amateur bodybuilders or just aesthetic gym rats who look almost as good or better than zane
