I'm so sick of this reasoning, So basically your proud that you half assed your way through school. Seriously I'm so fucking tired of people saying there proud that they worked while in school. If your really that smart and hard working wouldn't it be logical to assume you could of finished faster, or had a better education if you had put more effort into your schooling instead of merely getting a pass to make money.

why should someone else pay for the education of some lazy bum?

Did I fucking say that, you ignorant shit.

This is how you fucks talk about this shit, you have no fucking interest in fixing the problems merely blaming others, and pretending how only you can fix the fucking issue.

The facts are education went to shit, because tuition rates weren't regulated properly.

We need people with backgrounds in social sciences, we need people to be educated.

Your so obsessed with your emotional needs for right and wrong to understand the issue.
People are trapped in debt, I don't give a fuck if its there own fault, or a niggur in washingtons fault, or some dago in new yorks fault.
If there trapped I'm trapped, there's no way around it.

You can cite some magical theory about how it should never of happened, but it happened and will keep happening.

Things need to change, and partisanship and corruption are two of the biggest problems.

Yes because you have some logical proof that a free market will work.

It's pretty much a fact that humans can't survive properly in that environment, it's a fact that humans aren't logical, even the best of minds.

Your whole line of thought is based on some semi autistic understanding of the world, ironic considering you show signs of it.

Oh yea, the tuition wasnt regulated properly. Yea blame government for not stepping in and regulating the shit out of it. How about there is a tuition problem because libtards encouraged everyone to get college degrees resulting in degree cost inflation.

I'm so sick of these emotion based arguments. The fact is the american government is so corrupted and in debt its hard to imagine some miracle cure. It would seem more than likely that America is on the decline, a long term progress. There's no quick fix, the labor pool of the world, has exploded in the last decade thanks to the IT revolution. America has lost most of its advantages, and has a long list of problems. Inefficient demand for energy, a investment class that has no desire to invest locally, A poor class that are as stupid as they are trapped.
The top it off a group of people that are too obsessed with finance to realize that we don't just need sound economic planning, but something a little more. We need new ideas and shit to compete, and the people that can do that are usually the younger generation. America has basically gone up shit on that one.
lol for someone who is sick of emotional arguments you sure are emotional...

All my classmates have jobs then again they were business majors who were working or interning like you should do. Sorry you dont get a job b.c you got a degree you get a job bc you will help the company.

Every country has problems the labor pool has expanded which is why the govt needs to gte on board and help keep those jobs here. there isnt a need to invest locally thats what capital markets are for, you invest in the asset that will return the best.

agree on basically the rest

I love emotion,  I use it as  driving force not as a form of reasoning ;)

lol I'm very much not an arts major and will not go  into details about my personal shit as it will hurt my future internships

I partially agree that capital markets are having issues, but by the time there fixed, all the other problems are gonna be totally out of wack
agree on basically the rest

Since when did education become a bad thing.  ??? ??? ??? ???

This is the bullshit, we need educated people more than ever as their is zero chance were gonna compete with the rest of the world with unskilled labor.

We need educated people, and finance majors are not the solution.

I'm so sick of this obsession with people who don't actually produce anything. All the finance majors in the world, are not gonna change the fact that america isn't producing. We need people in the social science to be part of the solution. Personal debt,  poor spending habbits, lack of motivation, confusion, etc are real problems that need to be solved, getting all high and mighty will not fix this. We need people who understand the workings of the social animals that we are if we want any progress.

I'm so tired of everyone blaming 18 year olds, for being stupid, newflash, if you won't trust an 18 year old to run the country, why the fuck do you pretend it's them running it into the ground.

:o  I like Bay, I don't mean to make him mad, just this is reality, students can't pay these gov't insured loans back now.

Can't or you won't? In your case u won't cause you expect everything for free right? You just think you r entitled to be given free money and don't have to work, you are a disgusting pile of useless cum no wonder everyone that has any common sense don't like you. For real though if I ever see your fag face I would stomp on it continuously

I was just kidding since Bay ripped into someone here who didn`t pay their bills or something to that effect.
Methyl Mike. He was always going on and on about what a Christian and Conservative he was, but then made this post about how he was rationalizing not paying off his credit card debt. Well, Bay got on him like a Rotty on a burglar. Soon after, MM changed his handle.    ;D

Why should the US have lower taxes?  Should the US cater to the ultra rich?  A loan should not be given out to a young kid, that is just silly to expect a kid to know about everything that comes with getting a gov't insured loan for college.  There is a difference between gov't insured loans and credit card debt, credit card debt you can get away with chapter 7, you can't get rid of gov't insured student loans.

How is the US catering to the ultra rich by lowering taxes for the working man? What kind of logic is this? If you taxed the ultra rich at 80% there isn't enough of them to make a dent in the deficit that Obama has increased insanely.

On a side note I have noticed my posts have been modified by someone when they obviously disagree with me.

I had to cosign all college loans for my kids and I assume your parents cosigned yours too. Blame your parents for letting you go to an expensive school and getting a degree that has no economic worth. College should be treated as a trade school.

Pay back sooner than later - interest rates may put you to rest.
A bailout is for the big boys... a common person pays with his belongings and eventually life.

Even if the economy was "good" or "strong" you'd still need a bailout. The government has perverted the higher education system more than it perverted the housing market. A college degree is not worth anything anymore. People are going to school, wasting years of their lives, and paying tens (hundreds?) of thousands of dollars for something that will never pay off in any economy, good or bad.

Nothing wrong with earning a decent pay check being a mechanic, plumber, barber, laborer, teacher, or even a garbage man. At least you have a real pay check.  The last time I got my hair cut the barber who was in his late 20's said I make more than all of my friends who went to college.

Everyone thinks their college diploma entitles them to automatically qualify them for a corner office, secretary, keys to the executive bathroom; time share of the company's place in Bermuda, and parking space with their name on it. Truth be told a college degree today is the high school diploma of 1960.

This country has really lost the edge on the sciences and math.  It seems every guy my age seems to equate a good school according to how good the football team is.  Nobody cares about academics. Get a degree that will give you a job with that piece of paper. If not get a degree then get training to do something that pays.

So the workers are the ones who have to pay for this bail out?  Remember the federal govermnent has no money.  Only the money they have is the money they take from the workers. Last time I saw my paycheck the goverment took a lot of my wages that could have gone to me instead of the slackers.

They could drop the interest rate to 0.000001 for all federal loans and stop trying to make money off education.

The Bush tax cuts help mostly the ultra rich, they did help the middle class and lower class a little, but not nearly as much as they did the rich.

As far as a degree with no economic worth or worthless degree's, I don't believe in that.  For the US to be prosperous in the long run, we need a well rounded, educated majority.  If you have too many engineer's, too many scientist's etc, it is not good, you need artists, musicians, psychologist's etc for the country to prosper in the long term.

One of your posts I agree with, giving out the gov't insured student loans to anyone that wants to go to college was a bad idea and colleges then knew they could inflate the prices because the kids had money to pay for the increased cost with the free money at the time they had at their disposal.  If only people who could afford to go to college went, tuition would be much lower.

Well that is part of the problem, the public is brainwashed into thinking college is the only way to success, not the old trades that everyone needs like plumbing, electricians, etc, that is not pushed anymore.  If you flood the market with college degree's and anyone can get one with a gov't insured loans then the US gov't has set itself up for this problem it is having now.  That is why I believe a bailout is in the near future for these students with worthless pieces of paper, and with good degrees as well, just the job market is saturated with college graduates of all degree's and not enough jobs to go around.

I guess the Bush tax cuts were bad because Obama just extended them then took credit for it.

Except virtually all of the things listed are unexportable. And with the exception of teaching is better done by mexicans.

The is more of a meaningless cliche at this point than anything meaningful, sure kids have unrealistic expectations but so do most people, there's no simple answer to this, not going to school is not an option

The edge has been lost because the education system is shit all round, cutting taxes isn't gonna magically fix this, nor is deregulating for diploma factories a good idea either.

This partisan bullshit is pretty much meaningless.
