BIG ACH vs BayGBM - Computing
« on: March 14, 2012, 07:45:28 AM »
BIG ACH says he only uses PC and droid, isn't sold on the Apple hype while Bay preaches the Apple Gospel.  ACH is an engineer/IT guy, so his tech knowledge is +A on the sugject matter.  Bay says he is an educator.  What is Bay's technical background vs ACH? I'm guessing Bay is a Lib Arts guy.  Anyway, what are the pros and cons of Apple ownership vs PC?  And which one do you believe?  I'm guessing you put your money on products that ACH suggests.

Gays love apple products because Steve Jobs was most likely a closet gay and the apple logo with a bite out of it looks like a cock going into a man's ass according to the gays.

now i ain't racist or nuthin'

but ofcourse the gay one chooses apple.

Gay people tend to be very intelligent and thus arrogant/condescending/nose up and want to buy and use products to match their ego such as Apple, Starbucks, Dre Beats, and Prius.  all theses products have been proven to be nothing more than an expensive trend though. Some even worse in quality.

My effing 2008 Ipod Classic keeps getting error messages and won't effing synch to iTunes! I had 15k songs on it, and now it's reduced to 1,900, only A-C. You can only listen to Bob Marley only for long. And the warranty ran out last June...

I'm pretty sure Bay has a PhD in physics or something science based.... So don't count him out...

My background is a bachelors and a masters in systems engineering and a minor in computer science (so I know programming), with a PhD in industrial engineering on the way.

Outside of bodybuilding, Tech is my thing.... I like to believe that I know tech pretty damn well.... But honestly it comes down to personal preference. From a PC end I have never had an issue with a windows machine that I've felt cannot be tackled or that has made me feel like "oh no if only I had a Mac"  that is something that I've never encountered.  My current PC at the moment is a Sony with an Intel Core i7 Quad core processor and 6GB ram.... It runs Crysis 2 without skipping a beat.   I also have an xbox which is by Microsoft lol

On the mobile front, I have owned many different windows devices as well as windows tablets.  But I have found that I much prefer Android, my phone is a Motorola Atrix 2 and my tablet is the Motorola Droid Xyboard (Xoom 2)  both of which are running on a Texas Instrument omap4 dual core processor.  I have hacked into my tablet and customized it to my needs. I am able to log into my windows PC through my tablet and stream hd movies wirelessly. I can do a lot of things

There are many advantages in having Android over apples ios, but also many advantages in having apple over Android.... Honestly it boils down to personal preference.  Apple makes awesome mobile devices as well as computer, I have just found that they are not suitable to my taste.

Its all about ecosystem and I like googles!

Also you would be surprised to note that a lot of Androids programming done by google is done on a MAC... Actually when Eric Schmidt demoed the latest version of Android (Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich) it was demoed on a motorola Xoom while syncing it with a Mac.

Apple people will always swear by Apple products.

For PC I really feel windows machines are the best.

For Mobile, Android all the way and their ecosystem will function equally as well on a PC or a Mac.

Also a major plus for Apple is how easy their products are to use (minus iTunes)

Windows.... Not so much you really need a little bit of tech savviness to get the most out of it.
