i was an offensive tackle and Defensive tackle as well

our school didnt have letterman jackets, we just wore a dress shirt and tie fridays at school on game days.

all thou if they had some, i prob would have gotten one

You also get those jackets for band, choir, flag girls and cheerleading....so I am pretty sure every scope of stereotype is covered.

All the money at my school was used to install a new basketball court floor and a luxury bus for Paul Pierce to travel to away games.... while football team played on dirt patches caused by illegal soccer players and we traveled on yellow school buses to games

I got my letterman jacket my Freshmen year. I had two varsity letters that year. Wrestling and Golf. Pretty much unheard of.

I saw one of my high school's linemen at a reunion,...he wore one and did all that in school,...he is now a gay activist...

Looks kind of similar to the one I wore in high school but it had an E on it. I threw it away in college because I thought I was now a college big shot. I wish I still had it. In college there was no jacket, only a watch for varsity. I still have that.

There was a kid at my school that was so good at wrestling, they had him competing
for both schools in my town (I don't know why, maybe different divisions or something).
His jacket was both schools combined; one half with my school's color, and the other half
with the other school in town's color.
I thought it was pretty cool.
