The Oregonian is reporting 63-year old editorial page editor Bob Caldwell was in the apartment of a 23-year old Tigard woman when he suffered a heart attack on Saturday. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The woman told deputies she met Caldwell a year ago at Portland Community College and said he gave her cash for books and other school things in exchange for sex. Caldwell had led the paper's editorial board since 1995." -KATU
