When every news caster, pundit, radio show host, talking head, etc, says theyre "scared" of Paul's message or that he's crazy, well people dont bother to actually look up the facts, they just go with what theyre told by the floating heads on TV.

I'm reading through the comment sections on these articles about Santorum and reading shit like: "you people are worried about porn.  Worry about saving yourself from eternal damnation!"  That last quote wasn't an actual quote but sums up the silly of what I read. Many of them coming across like it's their duty to save our souls...  Listening to some of these freaks, it wouldn't shock me if one day we actually do play out the Spanish Inquisition again.

I myself would be one of those who don't...do I believe God frowns on sex outside of marriage or a gay lifestyle? Absolutely, why, because that's what the bible says, and if you are a christian then you believe what the bible says to be true. However, I also know I'm a human being and I don't always do everything just like the bible says...far from it. I mean, I'm 33yrs old, never married and I'm pretty sure I can't call my self a virgin. Is that going to send me to hell, no...what's in a mans heart and his relationship with God is what saves or ends him.

I don't hate gays, I can't approve of their lifestyle but I'll treat them as I do anyone else. As a side note; the gay lifestyle does drive me nuts in a lot of ways due to their sexual preference often defining their entire existence, but that's another issue.

In many ways, Ron Paul is my favorite; his views on liberty are spot on in every way and I honestly do not see how any sane person can dispute this fact. Sure, his feelings towards issues like Iran and Israel I disagree with, but everything else is spot on IMO.

Rick Santorum, I think most who are supporting him are doing so because they feel he's actually a trustworthy man who will stick by what he says...whether he is or not I guess would be seen if he were to win. I said this in another thread but it's worth repeating...America isn't ready for Paul, they don't fee desperate enough, they do not realize how badly liberty has been and continues to be destroyed. Of course, they're dead wrong and are in need of such liberty restoration far more than they realize. Of course, Paul has no chance, and he's always known that, but I really think everything he's doing is laying the groundwork for his son in the future.

The so-called ‘core four’ states are NC, FL, OH, and VA, and Santorum is leading Obama in each of those states, where as Romney is not:

RASMUSSEN – President Obama now trails former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum by four points in a hypothetical 2012 matchup in combined polling of key swing states Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia. The president continues to hold a modest lead in those states.

Santorum leads the president 48% to 44% in the so-called Core Four states. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate in this matchup, and two percent (2%) are undecided. This marks a shift from last week, when the president was slightly ahead of Santorum.

Obama remains ahead of Romney 46% to 42%, showing no change from last week. Six percent (6%) prefer some other candidate in this matchup, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Virginia was conducted on March 10-15, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Those are polling numbers BEFORE the Billion dollar plus Obama ad machine gets rolling.  Both Santorum and Romney will have to pray that gas creeps over 6 bucks a gallon to have a chance(although the president has little to nothing to do with gas prices). 

As to the political atmosphere, both parties are defined by the fringe movements of their respective parties and the entertainment stuntmen that drive them(El Rushbo, the Hollywood elite, AM talk radio, etc..).  The reality is that the silent majority does indeed exist...comprised of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who actually have many more similarities and concerns than they do differences.

The Dems are frothing(lol) at the mouth if Santorum gets the nod.  The guy is going to be ripped to pieces and Americans will lap it right up(ewwwww).  And Romney?  The Mormon CEO will concede before two-thirds of the states give their full electoral voting results.  Besides, the immoralists grossly outnumber the moralists and they will show up on election day.

Who's going to stop Obama?  The people I see so heavily opposed to him are older white people that ordinarily make up Tea Party conventions.  So a race of people who are aging, diminishing, and holding less and less political power everyday are going to get the candidate they want?

Its not about reality... its all about perception. By having the media in his pocket, he is able to cultivate the image that he's fixing everything even though he hasnt accomplished shit really.
Look at the oil scenario, he has been able to lower federal production by 40% and still maintain public perception that he's actually been helping oil production because overall is up and people dont care to look into it, production is up, Obama says its because of him, boom, people buy it.

He can get his cake and eat it too. And the people believe him cause the media tells them too.
