Look at Vader in "Revenge of the Sith." Supposedly has pain, hate and anger kept him alive long enough near the lava flow, but he was also more gifted in the Force than anyone, including Yoda and Sidious. Had Palpatine not arrived and done everything he could to save Vader, he would've died.
So, now, the less powerful Maul survives being chopped in half and falling hundreds of meters down a pit because he was "mad" enough to keep living?
That's stupid. I also think Mother Talzin or whatever is stupid. Could the Emperor wave his hands and give Maul a new lower body out of scrap droid pieces? Doubtful, yet all of the books and shit say he is by far the most powerful Sith Lord of all time. In this episode, even Maul said he was once appreciate to the most powerful being in the galaxy (Palps).
I give The Clone Wars series some credit. Anakin is a warrior general and decent guy, not the whiny bitch he was in the prequels. It also shows some pretty cool things for a kid's show. When I was little, nobody ever died on the Transformers or G.I. Joe until they did their animated feature films. But we see people die all the time ... clones flying out of depressurized starships, asshole bounty hunters getting whacked, innocent types being slaughtered ... pretty cool. And for anyone who thinks that's not in keeping with the movies, watch Episode IV again. Owen and Lars -- 'nuff said
