Many people are blown away when they see this rear lat spread picture of The GOAT.

Want to know something interesting about this picture?

It was taken in 1992!

No one and I mean no one can hold a candle to The GOAT's back.

Every single year the back got BIGGER and BETTER.

The width and thickness he had was unbelievable.  8)

You mean this Picture? Yates Certainty had one of the Best FL and RLS of them all IMO, However whether it was THE BEST will always be up for Debate Guys like Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney, will always be in the Mix for this Debate

Also there is no debate.  Dorian "The GOAT" Yates is untouchable.  A fantastic poser as well!

Yip he was untouchable from 92 onwards his all round Conditioning set the Standard for the era (hell probably still does) Coleman 98 vs a prime Yates would be the Contest of "The GOAT"... (pics C/O iceman)

as for ronnie his RLS at his best can come as the 2nd best after dorian's,.. also benaziza's is close.. but ronnie's FLS is not among the very best IMO..

untouchable.  I wish he competed in 1998 because he would have crushed the competition just like the previous years.

this is right IF only he didnt tear his left tricep in 97 and came in the same shape he presented in 93 or 95.. dorian of 95 even with his torn left bi could easily beat ronnie of 98 (((((IMO))))...

Yes the tricep injury was unfortunate.

The thing about The GOAT is after the bicep tear he only had that one weakness - the front double bicep.  He was extremely good at hiding this weakness however.  The back double bicep was an outstanding pose for him and the biceps look fine there.  His transitions were flawless.  He was great at showing one bicep with his signature calf pose as well.

1997 the tricep and the stomach bleeding are what made him not look so nice RELAXED.  He killed in the ab-thigh and destroyed like always in the front lat spread.

1997 The GOAT was MASSIVE.  Huge and conditioned to the bone.

It's such a shame he retired because 1998 I cannot imagine how freaky and conditioned he would have been.

No keeping it neutral objectively, he wouldnt have beaten Coleman @ the 1998 O in the shape like he had in 1997 IMO no chance in Hell, however in his BEST SHAPE it would be Close....very close Coleman's all round conditioning @ under 250lbs while his waist was STILL small would really give Yates a contest and then some who would win?..... your guess is as good as mine and everyone else's:-\ :-\ :-\

people who work in the bodybuilding industry and are paid to cover bodybuilding contests or photograph these guys at their peak. Not some anonymous person on Getbig who has only seen these guys from behind a computer monitor
