Coleman was one of the most controversial bodybuilder 4 or 5 years ago only, now he is considered as the best bodybuilder who will never be equaled by the entire board (with the help of the prophet GH15 ).
The ugliest Mr Olympia Dorian Yates is the "most complete Mr Olympia" ever.
I don't even mention a creepy physique like Tom Platz who is regretted every day with all his generation.
etc...

Just wait for a few years after his retirement and you will see how Branch will be admired like the guys cited above. It will be the same scheme  for Jay, Phil and all the bodybuilders you currently hate.

Related to bodybuilding covers, anyone notice how crappy the Flex covers have been lately?  Just got the most recent one with Phil Heath on the cover and it looks like piss-poor photography and presents a body and image that very few people would want to emulate.  (Even hard-core BB's.)  It's no wonder that the BB mags keep going back to the Arnold photos.  They are much more interesting, more well done and feature a look that many men wouldn't mind copying.

That is the part that I just cannot understand. I get why MD fags keep repeating that Branch deserved to win, that he is a true warrior and shit like this. They are obviously paid to do so, they push reality upon weak minds. Have you noticed that most of those magazines do good old jedi mindtrick on people? They keep repeating that judges did good job so people that cannot think on their own just parrot what they say. That's why Jay Cutler won Olympia so many times for his "width" despite having horrible waistline while Ruhl who was twice as wide as Cutler didn't place so high because he had "no triceps and aesthetics" (while Cutler got no arms at all and looks just as disgusting).

For everyone that can think on his own most frustrating fact about judging is not the fact that Branch Warren won, because there are criterias based on which Branch could have won but the fact that every criteria I can think of that explain placing on last Arnold classic would make guys like Kefalianos place way higher than they did. So obvious conclusion is that every competitor is judged on different criterias. Branch is praised for his "freakish" look so when he comes freaky and disgusting it's good, but this doesn't apply to anyone else.

I really like you wes but no offence, people thinking like you really caused whole problem. In order to cure bodybuilding we need transparency and clear judging criterias. Judging panel should write conclusive summary every time after competition with detailed scoring on every pose, every bodypart, everything that is relevant and detailed description why given competition received given amount of points for given aspect. I know many people would not even bother to read that because they are mathmatically illiterate and are afraid of reading many numbers and analysing data but there is whole bunch of people like me within bodybuilding that could analyse that data and give you my opinion about it. Now that they are completely in the shadow they can do literally whatever they want without really explaining shit to people.
