Question About Doctor Phil
« on: March 21, 2012, 11:27:13 AM »
Why is he allowed to exploit his patients like he does for TV entertainment.

Seems to me that's highly unethical.

They are not “patients”; they are guests on a television talk show.  No one put a gun to their head and made them go on his program.

Do you actually watch his program?  Why?  :-[

I remember seeing his show a few times when he first started out on tv. the way he assumed some type of imaginary authority and how his weak subjects falling for it, I wanted to punch through the screen.

"Dr" Phil used to run a gym membership scam back when he lived in Texas.

For real. Go check it out.

Nothing changed, he's still a scammer.

SCUM.

The guests do it for the free 2 night stay in the hotel and food comps.

I don't watch the show.  These people are more than just guests on a television show.  He's treating them as a medical professional and he shouldn't be allowed to exploit them (as a doctor).

I had a friend that used to work for Dr. Phil.  He has a panel of other psychiatrist/psychologists who he talks and examines the cases with.  In order to be on Dr. Phil you have to have a complete makeover and look the part.  They prefer blond, good looking women and require a photo if you are choosen.  Complete sham.

Howard Stern exposed this quack long ago.  "Dr." Phil is more of an entertainer than a doctor.

He is the main one that needs to be on there...
