I think most people are fine with answering a few questions so the cops can check things out, but searches go the next level. 

And now, any little bit of bullshit seems to constitute probable cause.

I would rather cops not conduct a search and miss something than search innocent people.

Lock the doors to your car when you step out.  Make sure bags and such are in the trunk and the car is as clean as possible. Do not consent to a search and tell them they need a warrant to enter your locked vehicle, trunk and glove-box. If they claim "probably cause" film the whole thing and then sue.

Don't know if you're following the police state thread, but now cops are trying to lock people up for filiming them!

Cops dont want to be held accountable.
I kind of understand, because video can be edited to make things appear different.
But it should NOT be illegal to film them, they have video camera's on their dash for this very reason.
Why would private video be any different?

There was a case a while ago with officer Derek Colling who attacked Mitchell Crooks for filming from his driveway. Now the MPD (cough-taxpayers-cough) has to pay $100,000; too bad the cop doesn't pay these from his pocket but the taxpayers get the shaft as always.
