I'm not a Facebook hater, but I have been deactivated on there for just about 8 months now and have been better off since.

I'm better off too but perhaps not in the same way as most people. It used to really wind me up at the feckless drivel people post. I blocked one after another until I was left with about 10 people. The 10 that never posted anything. Kinda made me realize that I wasn't engineered well enough to participate in social media. My tolerance for mega-shite was low back then and infinitely more so now.

Deactivated my in 2009. I got sick of;

Fat, ugly people posting every single detail of their miserable fucking lives with idiotic updates.

'Michelle is walking to her car' . Seriously? You SERIOUSLY stopped for a minute to post that?? 2min later.. 'Michelle is in her car' ....... Lord.

'I just woke up. That was a great sleep' .. ??? Wish you died while sleeping you fucking idiot so you could spare me trudging through the excrement that falls from your brain.

The religious weirdos. 'Praise God, Give him your life!!!' . Praise Satan! Glory to him!

A 50 year old fat mom posting things such as 'Hey Jay, whatZ up d00d!' . /facepalm

People posting 3030820940239402934 pics of their new born babies, ecstatically go on how beautiful he/she is. Hmm, not really. Looks like wrinkled up, ugly screaming alien.

People (girls usually) posting shit such as 'I love *********. He is my world. My everything. Without him my life wouldn't be worth living. I love you baby, forever'. Sweet Jesus. Do you know he probably spend 80% of his internet-time jacking off to porn whilst dreaming of banging every chick that so much as look at him.

Then the pseudo 'deep thinkers'. 'Love means wanting the other person to be happy, even if that means they can't stay with you' or some shit like that. Usually single, dysfunctional having spent years convincing themselves that they're enlightened and that the world don't deserve people like them.

The artists. Tortured souls on the verge of suicide for their art whilst living off benefits and government handouts. Would usually steal quotes from actual great artists and pass it off as their own. 'I saw an angel in the marble and carved until I set her free'.

The man-haters. Usually fat, oily, spending 10 hours a day on Facebook taking pot shots at men since they have nothing better to do and couldn't get a stray dog to fuck them.

Finally, the ones that quit Facebook and make a big deal out of it in their status updates. 'I'm leaving all this, see you in real life' .... only to be back two days later after realizing they don't have a real life.

And so on ..

No thanks. Zero interest in social media or having to read what morons think and do with their lives. Nobody is that interesting.

/meltdown  :P

I like FB and use it to keep in touch with everyone back home, but man did this post make me LMAO!

Seriously funny stuff there.

Twitter has some seriously funny people on there as well. Professional comedians, I mean.

One more thing.

These days you cannot read an article in the UK media without it being littered with tidbits of what some nobody said on Twitter. That's lazy journalism and instantly, in my opinion, drags the content of the article down into the gutter. I'm not interest in what 'DaftPrickFromHanley' or 'GrossSlutWithOneTit' thinks. Give me the facts and bugger off. Maybe that's why I kinda like Getbig. No bullshit here. It's almost a haven in an online world where pretense is everything.

Thinking about deleting mine.  People use it as a personal diary and embarrass themselves.  I have an old friend who constantly bombs my wall with shit about the zeitgeist movement.
haha those kind of people are hilarious. they have it all figured out. everything is a conspiracy. it's all because of "illuminati" and "zeitgeist". they watched some documentary on youtube so it must be true.

retards!

I should really close mine. I've basically stopped following every single person I'm friends with because they all annoy the living fuck out of me.

Deatctivated my account about 3 weeks ago....never been happier

My view of facebook as a 35 year old male is:
-religious people were pissing me off daily
-posts about new miracle suppliments by fat fucks pissing me off daily(advocare, body by vi, shakology)
-small town dipshits with no education preaching about politics when having no exposer to reality pissing me off daily
-taking my getbig posting style to facebook pisses everyone else off daily

Fuck facebook!

Next step delete your getbig account then jump off a bridge.
