The pilot that freaked out the other day

Was he using amphetamines?  I read that there is an unspoken drug scene in the pilot world.  Sort of like bodybuilding.  It isnt openly discussed.  But i read that the us air force is one of the only major air forces that allows its pilots to take this stuff. You could imagine cases o abuse or when it gets mixed wit other compoinds that the perso might have a psycoti episode.  I dont think that exhaustion could do that to a person.

Being addicted to amphetamines and taking them for long periods of time could possibly cause shit like this. The sleep deprivation gets to you. But when I first heard this story I was thinking the pilot took a large dose of some psychedelic drug and had a bad trip. Now that I think about it though, your explanation seems to make more sense.
