If ever a movie needed a sequel and if there was ever unrealised potential from a first film which could be taken much further in a follow up, its Dumb and Dumber.No idea why it wasnt made years ago, should be hilarious.

I don't know about this

I love the first movie, and watch it everytime I see it on

But first, I don't think the directors/writers/etc can come up with as good of script, scenes, etc

Second, I don't think Jim Carrey can pull it off. Hasn't he been depressed these past few years or something? I think he's too old and the funny just isn't in him like it used to be.

Regarding depression i believe he has been depressed and/or bi polarish his whole career and before his peak.

But, he has been less funny and relevant in the latter years/movies, yes.

Farrelly Brothers did Dumb and Dumber, and Something about Mary, both legitimately funny films.

Then a bomb or 2.

Next comes their 3 Stooges film, coming next week, they take a big gamble on that one.

Then D and D part 2...

They could have saved a lot of money by simply going into Walmart with a video camera and asking people basic math and geography questions for 1 1/2 hours.
