who wins this shot???
« on: April 07, 2012, 01:48:02 AM »

long have the judges rewarded Conditioning over all else; things like height, width, overall size and development, even aesthetics have been rewarded behind pure Conditioning in ranking the winners of bbing contests.

Gaspari has lots of top 3 finishes; Ruhl has aside from one 1st place in a 2-3rd tier show has never placed top 3 in an olympia or arnold.

Ruhl:
 5-11+
280+
wins in width
wins in height
wins in mass
delts bigger than his head
freakishly peaky bi's
top all time chest development with split
enormous development everywhere except triceps
consistently had good enough conditioning to have abs even at 300+lbs

Gaspari:
5-5
185 lbs
small in every dimension
no outstanding or freakish muscle groups
excellent conditioning

i say Ruhl wins on absolutely everything other than conditioning; they need to stop weighing conditioning alone over everything else...people like darren charles have had much success in placing relative to guys like mustafa mohammed or Ruhl who have been superior to almost every other competitor in every other conceivable area other than conditioning; most recently Stump Warren has placed high on sheer conditioning(and i guess quad size) despite being 5-5 and narrow.

they need to start rewarding the Ruhl-Wolf-Arnold genetic types over the 'super conditioned narrow midget' bodytype.

Apples and oranges

But seems to me, you're either:

A Ruhl lover
Gaspari hater
Both

Which is fine. I personally like both bbers in their own right, but I'm a fan of bbing pre synthol, insulin, and massive gh doses

In gasparis day, ruhl at best, wouldve looked like achim albrecht. Impressive, but not ruhl-impressive

rühl was much better bodybuilder

WOW, don't even know where to start with this, on a scale of 1 to 10 on your post knowing what you're talking about, I give you a 4 and that's being generous, first of all get your facts straight, Markus won the Toronto and Night of Champions and placed  3rd at the Arnold's one year,

This is the way it works plain and simple, from a legacy perspective Gaspari is a better bodybuilder hands down, now if you disregard era's and throw their physiques in front of a judging panel, well, obviously Markus would destroy Gaspari, wouldn't even be close, so every other scenario is just fantasy and stupid speculation, anyone who disagrees with the 2 perspective I gave doesn't know bodybuilding as I see no other way you can look at it, plain and simple.

Arnold is the greatest bodybuilder of all time but relatively speaking, Coleman would eat him in a competition obviously.

Gaspari wins.  Only because that's probably his best photo ever.  Other than that, nothing impressive about him.  Lee Haney crushed him every single year.  He's known for his nutrition company.  Not being a good bodybuilder.

Bad picture of Ruhl.  Ruhl's hit and miss conditioning, more miss, was a shame.  There are better pictures of him.
