The Department of Justice is in full-on spin mode over the James O’Keefe Project Veritas tape in which a young white man is offered Attorney General Eric Holder’s ballot. Desperate to prove that voter ID should not be presented in order to obtain a ballot, the DOJ fired back at O’Keefe and Project Veritas today, with a DOJ official telling tried-and-true media ally Talking Points Memo, “It’s no coincidence that these so-called examples of rampant voter fraud consistently turn out to be manufactured ones.”


This is nonsensical. Obviously this wasn’t an actual case of voter fraud—O’Keefe and Project Veritas didn’t want to break the law. And obviously the situation is manufactured—it’s the only way to show that voter fraud is easy and plausible, since we presumably don’t know when voter fraud takes place. That, in fact, is the point of the video: that voter fraud in this way is virtually undetectable and bears almost zero risk.



But the DOJ isn’t interested in the real point of the video. They know full well that voter fraud is simple when nobody has to show identification. They just don’t care, since they’re happy to watch political allies take advantage of the loopholes. Instead of targeting O’Keefe and Project Veritas for showing the American public the dangers of the current voter identification system, the Department of Justice and Holder are apparently interested only in preserving the absence of voter ID, no matter how many fraudulent ballots are actually cast.

Justice Downplays Stunt that Stole Holder's Vote

The Deparmtent of Justice on Monday attempted to play down video proof of how easy it is to vote fraudulently when a man working for James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas obtained Attorney General Eric Holder’s vote.

“About the only time we get concrete evidence of voter fraud is when someone pulls a stunt like this,” a DoJ spokesman told NBC’s First Read blog.

Holder and the department have consistently said there is no proof of widespread voter fraud, but the video, posted online by Breitbart is further embarrassment after Project Veritas successfully got dead people’s votes in New Hampshire and Minnesota.

The scruffily dressed young man, who is white, went to Holder’s polling station on Nebraska Avenue in Washington, D.C., for last week’s primaries and asked if they had Holder registered there. Holder is 61 and black.

He was careful not to claim he was Holder but the poll worker still tried to hand the assistant his ballot once he had confirmed the A.G.’s name was on the roll.

The Justice Department has brushed aside a video by the conservative filmmaker James O'Keefe in which a polling station volunteer is tricked into giving the attorney general's primary ballot to the wrong person.

In the video, a man is seen giving the attorney general's name, Eric Holder, to a poll volunteer in Washington, D.C., along with Holder's address. The volunteer finds Holder's ballot and offers it to the man, who says he'd feel more comfortable if he provided his identification, which he says he left in his car.

The point of the video is to show that without voter ID laws, anyone can vote under anyone else's name when in reality, huge numbers of people who wanted to game the voting system would have to take part in a coordinated scheme to make even a small impact.

Rush Limbaugh praised O'Keefe as "brilliant" on his radio show today.

The Justice Department was less enthusiastic.

Okeefe's recordings are clearly edited and most pollsters caught him in his attempt.  For the most part, it really doesn't matter as the Electoral College decides who is president...not individuals....otherwise Al Gore would have been president

A lot of people don't keep up with politics...even poll workers which is a good thing because they are less likely to be bias.  However, there's a lot of people named Eric Holder.

Thats not the point. The point is there are literally thousands of examples of voter fraud over the last several years. Dead people voting, fake people, etc.
Its not right. And it casts doubt on the whole system, especially when you have democratic officials saying "Whats the big deal? Its a perfectly acceptable way to get the proper person elected" IN THE COURTROOM, like they dont give a fuck.
Its a broken system. And until the people take the power back, its going to remain a broken system, with whoever cheats the best winning. Now with the votes going overseas and being counted with NO way to check for authenticity, its even worse, and people dont say a damn thing. The worst part is that the company that got the rights to tally the votes is ran by a former Chicagor CEO and Obama campaign contributor, and has connections to Soros.
Once the votes are dumped into the servers overseas, thats it, no way to check them, no verification, no way to go back and see if fraud was committed.

James O’Keefe and Project Veritas are back for more.

In the aftermath of James O’Keefe’s shock video showing a young white man strolling into a polling place in Washington DC and promptly being offered Attorney General Eric Holder’s ballot, the District of Columbia Board of Elections acted … by condemning O’Keefe. Board chairwoman Deborah Nichols railed:

“I have directed our attorneys to conduct a thorough investigation and refer all evidence to law enforcement authorities for appropriate action. Our polling places are open to the media and observers who want to legally document our procedures for checking in voters. There is never any justification for disrupting the voting process with fraudulent activity. We will take any and all appropriate actions to ensure the integrity of our voting process and we will vigorously seek to hold anyone and everyone accountable for interference with that process to the fullest extent permitted by law.”

Reporting and observing on the implementation of the voting process is, of course, precisely what O’Keefe and Project Veritas were doing. But that was of no consequence to the DC Board of Elections, which was more interested in “shooting the messenger,” as O’Keefe put it.
