Bad breath...
« on: April 13, 2012, 11:00:40 AM »
Is bad breath just an older person problem?  And, by older, I mean like 30 and up.  I never noticed people having bad breath in high school or college(halitosis, not like you ate some onions, or smoked a cig), but now as an adult, I am more aware of it.  I am by no means an OCD person when it comes to this, but I do carry floss with me, brush at least twice a day, and visit the dentist every four months for a cleaning.  But really, why would your breath get worse as you get older?  Does the decay set in, thus taking time to build up a smell, and it just gets noticeable as you age?  Is it an alcohol thing, so the more you drink, the worse it gets?  I can't stand it, and last night after my ball game, we all went out, and these two guys on my team had terrible breath, like to the point I coudn't be around them.  There is a cashier at the Harris Teeter, and her breath is so bad, I skip her line, even if she's open and less people are in it.  I mean, shit, your mouth is how you communicate, why would you want it to have a foul odor?  It is seriously the biggest turn off to me if a woman has trench mouth.  I couldn't be with a good looking chick who had bad breath.  And I've dated smokers, but not for long, and that's not a s bad as halitosis.  I actually turned a good looking chick down before because of breath.  Makes me very glad my girl takes care of herself.  Thoughts? ???

the smell is not necessarily teeth, or even mouth related.. smell can come from the stomach, throat. throat infections tend to give people wicked bad breath.

More often than not, it's from the gut, some can eat out of a garbage can and look and smell like a million bucks, but most can't.  With age, it all catches up.  It usually aint' a mouth brushin' thing.

This. No matter how hot she is, once the bad breathe comes into play, she is forever ruined in my eyes.
