Yes, they typically come in to provide comfort and ease pain when the life expectancy is less than 6 months.

I knew a woman who was provided hospice care 3 separate times before finally succumbing but it appears grim for Derek at this moment.

I think it is safe to say that no one wants to be in hospice care. To be in this  situation when you have barely lived a life, is exceptionally sad. Derek has all my sympathy. Some might argue that he brought this upon himself. That may be so, but the fact is a lot of people live like there is no tomorrow and they still manage to live a long and full life. It would seem at this point that Derek may not be as lucky as some.

Considering Derek's situation, he has nothing to celebrate or claim victory over.  It is sad that it took a heart attack that nearly killed him to finally take heed in what I and everyone else was telling him for years.


Keith wished death upon me too many times...but he took nothing to the grave except the fact that Ron banned him beforehand for making fun of Ben Weider's death.......you can't take any ownings or accomplishments to the grave......just a nice suit and some flowers if you're buried
