What Supplements Do You Take? Water buffalo, krispy kreme, pies, caviar, herbal tea and Challah bread. A diss is definitely hidden in this question. Why didn't you just ask him, how many days a week he works out? Ron, is around all these supplement companies and IF he can answer honestly I believe him and what he says. Of course, not all supplements work for everyone but I would like to know what he believes to be good, honest and worthy to purchase...
If I am actually working out and training and doing cardio wand weights, most definitely a protein supplement - whey protein shake. For me, not just pure whey, but a mixture of whey, some carbs, and some good fat - balanced out. So any good whey protein will do the trick for you, but it has to be a reputable company, not one that claims they good a good whey for some cheap ass price. I dont train much lately, so dont have much need for a lot. But if I do hit the treadmill for cardio, its whey protein shakes (from quite a few company - Nitro-Tech, Proto Whey, Myofusion, Syntha-6 and others), some vitamins, etc. I get quite a few of them, mixed samples, etc.
I used to take glucosamine chondrotin pills, when I had knee problems (used to play basketball), and that worked wonders. I was quite amazed at this product, and still use it.
Also take vitamins and minerals tablets when I need them, usually when I feel I don't eat enough or eat correctly. Always from a reputable company.
Love taking an energy drink, like American Body Buildings NO Pumped Speed Stack, when I need the energy, or eat a balanced type of bar that mixes protein, some carbs and some fat in it, but usually on the road (the bars). Also use various other type of energy drinks to pump you (aka No-Explode, Superpump, Nano-Vapor). All depends what I feel like.
The problem with supplements is that some people think you need to take a lot at one time, and then complain about it. You need to figure out what works for you, and what doesnt. Which product you like and what helps you out. No two people are the same. It can work well for me, and not work for a friend of mine. I can like one product and my friend does not.
For the people who said that you dont need any supplements, they are screwy. You need something to help you out if you train, want to lose weight, etc. Anyone will tell you that you do. What you need is the question that is hard, and you need to figure out yourself, one product at a time.
