I have been wearing G shocks for around 25 plus years. I wear them for about 8 years and when the battery wears out I buy a new one. I know I should just buy a new battery but these watches are inexpensive. I hear the new ones have a much shorter battery life. I have worn those swimming in the ocean with no problems. I have dropped them countless time without damage. I know you could throw one and not damage it. I use them to time my runs, intervals and as an alarm clock. The watch can't be beat.
I have an expensive watch and no it's not a Chinese counterfeit bought off the Internet. I wear it when I have to get dressed up for something; other than that it's the Casio. The Casio G shocks cost about $125 now with older models going for a lot less. They look great and have a lot of functions that an athlete would want.
