How can you not feel embarrassed for these 50+ year old white internet heros who address other males as "bro". There is one washed up drunk on Getbig, who shall remain nameless, who uses the word incessantly. Thinks he's sounds really "cool" I guess. Just recently he addressed a black man on Getbig as "homie". It was painful to read.
the language he is using originated back in his day. "bro" and "homie" and a host of other slang terms still used in todays time are from back in the day, early-mid 80's. today's teenage-25year olds are still using terms created from 30years ago. The fact is that todays youth has not created any language or fashion that is original to it self.
I don't know who "he" is you are refering to since I didn't mention any names. BTW, the word "homie" came into popular use among teenagers in the late 80's/early 90's, so a guy that's pushing sixty now was pushing forty then. He would have been to old then to use the term without looking like an asshole. Especially if he's white.
1980 was 32years ago... so if he's..... let's say 52 now then he was 20 not 40. Oh, the "he" is a reference for the 50+ white GUYS.
