Win, lose, or draw, Dan will bring it to him!  He needs to pull an old school Tyson and bum rush his ass right from the opening bell. That's his only chance.

This fight should be over by first round stoppage. But knowing that homo Greg Williams, this could be another 5 round snooze fest where Jones wins 4 rounds-1.

Either way, I'm not ordering this fight.

R u not referring to Greg Jackson? lol

Im not too thrilled by this fight but two things are undeniable, Hendo is the best wrestler he will ever fight and has quite possibly the hardest right hand he may ever feel. If Dan can connect its over, if Bones manages to block it close theres every chance he may be stunned and Hendo can move in for the takedown. From there its anyones fight however i dont see passed 2 - 3 rd TKO victory for the champ.

Once he wins & Shogun defeats his next opponent, which was to be Rampage and is now Thiago Silva (wtf!) then their rematch is all that lies between him dominating the division in its entirety and moving up to heavyweight. He will ofcourse be hand fed a few mid carders (evidenced by giving Silva what could be a #1 contender matchup) that have no reason to be contesting the title because everyone wants to see a fresh face get smashed but there will be no reason for him to remain @ 205. Dana is always going to protect his $$$.

The guy from the Saints--

Doesn't he coach Jones?  Grin

Agree with your analysis-- Problem is, strictly based on math-- how can Hendo connect clean with a guy twice his size, as good a wrestler, with long ass legs and an 84.5 inch reach to boot? Unless Jones decides to get drunk before the fight, I don't see it.

Even if he connects, he can't connect clean.

only 2 people had or have a chance to take the title

machida fukd up. he got in but didnt know what to do because he is not a natural fighter with instincts rather a trained karate fighter

hendo has the greatest chance because he will get in and will take him down or throw a bomb. most likey
he is gonna take him down and gnp his ass. but unlike other fighters who got inside i have no doubt in my mind that hendo will be
effective when he gets in because thats what natural fighters do.

No way.  Machida was.

Henderson will be completely rag dolled.  Wasn't it Sheilds who bullied him around?

Jones via anyway he wants, unless Hendo gets his overhand right in (puncher's chance).

I don't think anyones gonna rag doll Hendo,I just don't see hendos getting close enough to Jones to ever do any damage

If Jones gets his hands on him it's gonna be a thai plum/knees to the chest situation.  If it goes down, Hendo will get bullied just the same way Rua did.

The only thing that will stop Jones in this fight is a lucky punch via overhand right of Hendo OR too much stress related to Jones' dwi arrest.

i think hendo is alot harder to keep down the rua, hendos a much better scrambler as far as getting back to his feet then most guys. im sure jones will punish him though in those transitions. id like to see dan connect with a decent right just to see if jones chin could take it or not, that would make the fight very interesting

I think the last thing Jones will wanna do is let hendo get close by tying him up in a clinch..

I don't see many knees in close in this one..

i agree, dan went alot farther in wrestling than jones did, i know that doesnt mean everything but there aint a whole lot of people gonna man handle dan from the clinch.

First round Rashad/Jones fight, Rashad landed a decent headkick, I believe Jones never got his confidence back after that. Dan has a good chance here.

Does anyone wonder if Jon's legal troubles will get in the way of this fight?

I don't know the whole story.  I heard there was a 16 yr old girl in the passenger seat who was injured.  I also heard that he was in a sexual relationship with said 16 year old.

If that's true that's gonna be bad.  Very bad.

If he loses, of course that will be the reason, if he wins, they can sell the whole "he overcame adversity" angle. Roll Eyes

So Hendo is out injured, Machida refuses to take the fight on short notice and Jones refuses to fight Sonnen on short notice leading to the cancellation of UFC 151. Cue Vitor Belfort putting his name into the hat and he has now replaced Machida at UFC 152 (or is it 151 now?!)

War Vitor, hope he smashes Jones into oblivion.
