I don't get the stigma about Americans not liking soccer when it is the number 1 played sport of kids age 5-12.  There are so many fucking kids soccer leagues.  It seems that once americans hit puberty they begin to love the NFL and stop loving soccer.  Something about hormones, religion and mass media changes their love to the handegg

It's the number one played game as the countries it's played in has the biggest world populations... Duh! And yes as you said, once the kids start to become men in the US they move to a man's game.... Could not have said it better myself.

It's also played a lot as it does not require much, hence to poor ass countries who love it, if they were given a choice, would it be so popular? And religion here has jack shit to do with their choice of loving football over soccer.

yes it would be pretty rfucking fantastic actually.. really good for the mls league. the us team are a pretty good team as it happens and its not beyond the realms of possibility that they could make it to a wc semi. especially now you've got ol' jurgen as manager. a very professional team and attitude..

That stigma, of real men play football is changing, more and more athletes are choosing soccer over football, baseball and basketball and you will see with the new academy system in place, America will start competeing better in soccer.  It will not happen over night as America has to get over that stigma of former American soccer players teaching the youth of America how to play.  The new academy system teaches the international version of the game and watch how it opens up.
