And just because he ate good as a scholarship athlete at Miami doesn't mean he had money in his pocket. Hell, look at the fab 5 at Michigan, they generated millions for the university and besides possible kickbacks to Chris Webber, they were all pretty much just a bunch of broke teenagers.

I went out with a chick who told me she had a bad childhood, but worked her ass off to get into a top law school and landed a job at a big firm. Wasnt really attracted to her at first, but the fact that she became successful coming from nothing I was so impressed I found her irresistible. I stuck with her for 2 months

I remember years ago before The Rock really got famous he did a candid interview where he talked about living in a 1 bedroom apartment with his mom, living on bologna sandwiches day in and day out. 

In college he said he couldn't afford a mattress so he found one in a dumpster and slept on it.  He didn't have enough money to live on so he ate macaroni and cheese every day. 

The guy is a great success story.

i read his book, he had no idea what to do with his life when football didn't work out, his father was close with pat patterson (vince mcmahon's right hand man) and he got him a private wrestling try out while guys like mick foley had to wrestle in high school gyms in front of 100 people and sleeping in his car hoping to be noticed

like i said as far as a wrestling character goes he was as good as anybody, but does he make it there without his connections?

Does he even try wrestling at all without growing up with a wrestling dad?  Chances are he'd move out to LA to get a job as an actor and at that time anyone not white and not named Denzel would be relegated to thugs roles or possibly even porn if he was hung.
