No, individual rights are fine here, jsut some things are culturally not accepted.
Try to show your tits on a US beach, you will go to jail for that in some places, how's that for individual rights? Perfectly fine in Europe though. How about steroids? Legal where I live, nobody gives a shit.
I dont know where you live so perhaps my comment was out of order never the less I find it disturbing that having a tattoo that can be screened would constitute a sacking offence

Mmm somehow you still got me wrong. It's not against any law or so to have a tattoo, you won't get arrested or so, but you can't enter a lot of places or jobs because tattoos are linked to organized crime.

Yakuza.
Yes. Sometimes you see people with Yakuza tattoos, impossible to say if they are or not, but usually young people aren't dumb enough to get gang tattoos for fun, so they must be. People immediately shy away, I've been alone in a public bath with a guy with tattoos once, everybody left before I even realized anything was "wrong".

They are one of the most harmless organized crime groups in the world, bound to honor to some degree, will not (or rarely) hurt civilians. If you're a thai prostitute in Japan, well things may look different, but otherwise they aren't that bad. Now Triads, Russian Mafia, Colombian drug cartels, SE-Asian mafias... they will kill you just for having seen their faces...

Yakuza have gotten so involved in legit business that I wouldn't even consider them organized crime anymore.... just organized. They own so much shit in Hawaii. I have Japanese style tattoo work, about 25 hours on my back. When I was young and got detained in a county facility, they took mug shots and listed 'Yakuza' as my possible affiliations, LOL.

That is somewhat correct, they are involved in A LOT of legal business, but they also control 100% of prostitution, drug trafficking and sales, business extortion, "protection" business, almost all credit card fraud and lots of other shit. They root so deep into politics and business, they are said to decide the prime minister by "influencing" people in rural areas to vote for a certain person, they were also one of the first to help with tons of money and manpower after the earthquake and tsunami, long before the military showed up. But still, they are criminals. All the people forced into prostitution or "amateur porn", then it seems that some of the people that owed money to the Yakuza were forced to clean up at Fukushima, because the pay it good and it is all taken by the Yakuza as payback of the debt.
