You don't need it because you're way superior.

I agree with that.  I don`t see a purpose for it other than as a gimmick to obtain information.  Why would anyone take Facebook seriously and post their life details on there?

I think it's just for nosy and attention-starved people. It might be useful to network for picking up chicks for single guys also but that would be the only real use I could think of. I really don't get it myself but then again, I don't get the whole social networking thing in general. I guess I'm an exception being a gen y'er without a fb

It's a great way for me to keep in touch with friends and family, especially when I'm overseas.

I guess you need an ego boost so you started this thread, as opposed to using a gimmick to make a tribute thread about yourself.

You're not the biggest loser on this site, but damn it, you're trying.

Why do you need Facebook to keep in touch with them and why would you need to be in touch with them anyways?

What good are they for you?  You are in China for Pete`s sake, I would NEVER go to China nor would I ever want to help anyone in China out EVER.  They are more ruin to the world than they are good.

Because everyone can see everything at once. I don't have to attach a bunch of pics in email and send it to everyone.

Also on FB, we have special private groups, which is essentially GB except with a few friends. Is GB stupid?

Posting personal info on FB is retarded. FB it's ok IMO but of course there is people uploading pics every 30 min, posting about what they just ate, suggesting things about others, rumors, etc. But there's a option where you choose to not receive news from annoying attention whores, so it can be cool if you want it to be.

In my opinion, Getbig is worth way more than Facebook.  Facebook lacks any in depth discussion and is nothing but one-liner after one-liner by people who do nothing but regurgitate sit-com one-liners.

It is superficial, fickle and is attractive to morons due to the low bar standard that is prevalent on that site.  The same goes for that idiot site called "Twitter" where one needs a decoder ring to figure out what each incomplete sentence means followed by some strange symbols ( - + -**####).

I don't get too worried about offending someone. They can always unfriend me if they feel the need.

I don't unfriend other people. If they post something I don't like, I can always scroll past it. Not a big deal to me.

Is "unfriending" someone supposed to be considered a big deal or something?  You make it sound like a death in the family or something?  What would lead to a potential "unfriending"? (wouldn`t it actually be de-friending instead of un-friending)
