@bustinass, I don't need to assume anything your posts says it all, it's a socialist way of thinking, has proven to fail in each and every way.

I assume u live in the US, don't like captalism feel free to GTFO! afterall, u are free to do as u please.

Btw, u are assuming things saying the poor person on the street is a better person than the apartment owner. How do u know?? FWIW the apartment guy can be involved in charity, jobs for people, maybe helping those poor fellas in those country with an education, providing food, etc...

I bet it pisses u the fuck off when someone rolls by in a Ferrari or a bentley lol.  8)

Then why do German marques like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche make uber-sports cars? Because the market---people want said things. This whole "no one needs more" is utter bullshit. Who is to dictate why or why not someone doesn't need "more"? Or shouldn't "want" more? To even the playing field? Life ain't fair. All men and women were not created equal---which is why man invented breast implants, lol.

Exactly it's all from jealousy. I can take all the gear in the world would never look like Ronnie nor have the strength like levrone. :D life isn't fair some people need to stfu and move on. Blah, blah, blah!!

NYC is crazy.  I live here.   You can be amongst unbelievable wealth and ghetto poverty literally within 2 to 5 minutes.
same here in Toronto... just have to cross the street in some places. you feel a different vibe just from being on one side of the street or the other. such a strange feeling for only a few feet apart divide... human nature :/

Actually you need about a 100 mill, which ain't that much, wouldn't even get a honorable mention by forbes.

 ::)

Really bro? yes you need around 100mil to buy a 90 mil penthouse, thats obvious, but noone with 100mil capital will spend 90% of it on the penthouse, that was my point. im sure whoever bought this penthouse isnt living in his momma's basement, he probably has 20+ mil worth of other houses, cars, planes etc... again, you need capital in the Billions to be able to drop 90 mil on ONE SINGLE HOUSE

For the Coach and you:

You are assuming too much and have been inhaling the endless capitalist fumes for far too long.

You HAVE to understand that not everybody wants what capitalists have taught you to want.

Have you ever QUIT a Manager job with a excellent salary with a purpose of learning something from this world and not just take from it? Go travel to poorest vilages in Asia where people eat shit from the street and find out they are smarter and WAY more better persons than the person that bought that appartement, I guarantee you that!

Its like this: If this guy has so much money to buy such a house, it means thousands of people live in shit for him to be able to do that! SImple truth.

And if you ask me I would NOT change 1 person, let alone thousand, for his ass. I understand the system is like this and not easily changeable BUT that does not mean I have to be pro-system like this.

Fuck capitalism and its abuse and enslavement of people for the big profit of few. I piss on people like that
I agree. You should give your money away. Anyone who has achieved anything in life has done so by fucking other people. It has nothing to do with their hard work or the jobs they created for others. We all should have exactly the same money and have the same material possessions. Why should someone who works hard own a inground pool when I only have an above ground Walmart pool?  Why should the guy with two jobs and fits in college have an advantage over me eventually??  Government should take care of everyone.

It shouldn't matter if you work hard or not. Everyone should get the same compensation. School should be the same way. Why should those who works hard get better grades than anyone else?  If we got rid of capitalism I wouldn't have to be concerned with getting a nice house, vacations or a decent car. No one would have these things except government officials who oversees the socialistic government. Since there would be no incentive for hard work and excellence we wouldn't have to be concerned material possessions. We could all wear the same government issued clothing too.

What this really comes down to is that you are a real loser and a slacker. You can't stand the thought of others having a decent life while yours sucks.  Go live in your crap apartment and your empty wallet. Just don't think I'm going to do the same because I work for what I have.

You would be surprised. Some people are so f...... stupid. In the rich part of my town, lot of "rich" people got evicted during this crisis, since their mortgage was already through the roof

They probably weren't really "rich" then.  They were living on credit.  It's a different stratosphere with people who buy 90 million dollar penthouses.

This apartment is a problem.

Whomever purchased it will potentially have a problem finding a future buyer if he/she plans to place it back on the market.  There aren't many buyers that are willing to drop that much money into an apartment, regardless of the amenities or location.  For 90 million you can get many acres of land in great parts of Connecticut and other states.

This level of lavish spending is beyond my comprehension.

Wrong JT (I can't assume any other gimmick at this point), capitalism thought me to WORK and EARN for the things I want and not be a leech on society. Quit thinking you're entitled to something you're not. Lazy ass bastards!

This makes the assumption that the person with 100M has stopped earning.

I"ll admit, I don't know how purchases of this magnitude are made, but even if we assume a traditional mortgage with 20% down, and double the purchase price paid back after 30 years, that's about 5.3M a year in mortgage payments.   Easily affordable by someone with 100M, whose money is earning money.

I understand what you are saying BUT come on on. How HARD do these people work? I worked in a factory for 12 hours every day killing myself so I want to know HOW HARD does this guy work to have 150.000 times more then I have.

Is he working 100.000 times harder then me?

The system is corrupt as fuck and the people support it by seeing these things and are always hoping THEY will be a part of it.

While you hope and dream, the reality is that 99% is OWNED by 1%. Is that all because of hard work and honesty?

GTFO!

I am not for equal salaries or means BUT there HAS to be way more moderation.

A scientist who finds out a cure or a doc that saves lifes every day is earning million times LESS then a fucking peazant owner of a fucking beer factory!

Free market and capitalism = Close you eyes, take what you can and dont mind or care for anybody. ME ME ME ME ! Its all about ME!

FUcking unenlightened peazants!

working smart and working hard are 2 different things

same goes with lifting weights, there are folks who push the weights, and there are folks who LIFT lighter weights

for example, take mark suckerberg... sure he stole an idea, but he was SMART ABOUT IT, and worked smartly, out of his dorm room, into a 100Billion dollar company...

i feel for you working 12 hr shifts at factories, but working smart is different than working hard

How hard do you think the owner of that factory worked to get and keep that place running? BTW, a Masters degree doesn't always equal commonsense. You allegedly got your masters for what reason? A better job to advance yourself and make money, right? Or did you just get it for the hell of it?

The system is FUCKED UP to be able to give people millions upon millions. Yes offcourse people should have different slaries based on their work etc BUT the scale is tipped so far off any resemblance of balance that it is insulting to the mind.

Is your mind also insulted that some people are really short and some are really tall, tipping the scale so far off any semblance of balance?

Like I said, the world is only one, everything is connected. If somebody has 23 billion or 740 million that means there are thousands and tens of thousands of people without any chance to get any kind of money who live in shit, literally.

Why? How does the amount of money I have affect the amount of money you, or anyone else, have?

I am opposed to this.

It's easy to oppose things. What is your solution?

Another problem are the values or rather lack of in decadent western societies. WHen a girl like Britney or Gaga or whoever can have hundreds of millions by fucking shaking their ass and singing using autotune, you know we live in a world where any kind of values are LONG lost and forgotten. FUck the 'free' system that allows this. Fuck the people who support it

Oh god, not the whole "values have been lost and we are rotten to the core" bullshit.

Sorry to dissapoint, but I got my education in and outside of intellectual halls for 1 purpose alone: to know more and be wiser and smarter.

This does not equate money in ANY way. More often then not quite the opposite!

This means that it can actually do me more harm then good in this system which doesnt like people who are critical of it.

For someone with a Masters degree, who seeks to be wiser and smarter you have a lot of trouble with then and than. Basic spelling should be part of one's thesis defense, really.

I have lost jobs over the fact that I was 'too human' in a system like we have now which doesnt care for people, it ONLY cares for the money these people produce. Everything is obediant to the fact that at the end of the month there HAS to be a plus below the line. A company HAS to go forward to stay afloat.

If the company doesn't stay afloat, those people it doesn't care about will be out of a job. And then what?

This need for infinite growth in a very finite system can only bring bad things: poverty, personal suffering, decay of morality, public unrest, less and less free time, prices going up etc.

Non sequitur.

Basically this system has long outgrown itself and is now bringing TO the people that what the people set out to avoid in the first place (see my points above).

Objection. Assumes facts not in evidence.

Quality of life for vast majority is going down whole quality for a very few is going rapidly up.

Right, quality of life is going down. It's not like the average person in the United States has a roof over their head, drives 1.5 cars, eats 3.7 meals a day, has 3.2 televisions, a smartphone, and 1.2 computers. Such a horrible life. Compared to the life people had 100 years ago, our current quality of life is tantamount to torture; torture I tell you!

If only we could go back to the simple times, where we toiled on fields all day, all would be good. We'd have such a high quality of life.

If this sounds OK with you, then so be it. For me its sounds terrible I am and always WILL do anything to go against it.

So quit your job, move to a third-world country and get as far as away from this terrible situation. Don't sit around, typing on a computer and enjoying the benefits and perks of this horrible situation that you are so against hypocrite.

Money is just paper with pictures on it. Quality of life is what counts

I'd say "Good news. The paper with pictures on it you care so little about can be used to actually improve your quality of life. Not always but more often than not." But you want a return to the primitive. So why are you still here?

the money may sound Crazy, but a guy like Larry Ellison of Oracle will not have any problem taking $90 million out of his estimated $17 billion networth to buy that beauty

who says the scientist or the doc cares that much about money. they just want to make it into the history books, to be immortalized... or hey maybe it's completely altruistic and they just do it to better mankind?

you assumption that money is the ultimate goal is flawed

and about those 1% people? without them, you'd have a bunch of 99% retards asking the themselves what to do for the 12 waking hours each day. they have no direction, no vision...  for instance, they could spend 12 hours a day digging a big hole in central park that no one needs and that serves NO economic purpose... well... i take that back, it does serve a purpose, to get BustinAss to put you on a pedestal.

you can do pushups in your room for 12 hours all day, but just because it's hard and laborious all of a sudden you're entitled to a lot?

Ok - you make good points. Germany has it's fair share of rich people who want luxury goods too, although I think the premium label that comes with some of the brands you mention (like Audi) is probably more greatly perceived outside Germany than within. Mercedes, BMW - yep, bought and driven by people with money. It's just an observation I was sharing - less people I know here in similar social circles to those I was in in Australia, seem to be killing themselves at work to acquire material possessions. More people here than back home seem to be happy with what they have, and are consequently, happier people. At least, they seem to be.

I'm not pushing for a level playing field. More power to the people who earn the big bucks and if they're happy with big stuff, then great. I'll restate my last sentence - I think, noone needs to have such a huge amount of money in order to live a life I would personally consider good and satisfying. It's just an opinion my friend  ;)
